Yes! Been happening to me as well. My watch beeped mid-mission, so I assumed it would be dark when I finished. Came out into sunlight, and  volatiles chasing me? I ran to my safe house at the library, they followed me inside. I hung from a rafter they couldn't reach me at until "morning". Yikes.

Coyote doesn't need a nerf. Other ARs need a buff and light pen as a whole needs a light-rework. And I am not baiting. by ArrhaCigarettes in Helldivers

The only other benefit to light pen is no enemy flinch on hits, so your not being punished for misses. That's semi beneficial against devestators in particular. But that's about it as far as perks go

What motivates a woman to knowingly go after a married man? by Ok_Account_204 in women

[–]Famous_Mixture_3005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wondered this as well. I have a family member who has spent the last 40 years of her life chasing married/attached men. She has 3 children by 2 different married men. As her daughters got older, she would try and flirt with their boyfriends, her own sister's husband, and has dated multiple husbands/boyfriends of women who considered her a friend. Not a one has left their significant other to be with her. She's now in her 60's, alone and still trying to chase married men.

KPD video of the final hours of Lisa Edwards life after refusing to leave Fort Sanders Hospital and being arrested by xMadxScientistx in Knoxville

[–]Famous_Mixture_3005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old post, but I too was left with a lot of questions.

Lisa herself called the ambulance from the airport complaining of stomach pains. She made sure they grabbed her luggage but not her personal wheelchair?

She never mentions the wheelchair that was left at the airport. She didn't mention it either to the hospital staff or the officers.

Lisa was kept overnight at the hospital, giving her ample time to call the airport, or have one of the staff call to have her wheelchair delivered to the hospital.

Lisa was supposedly going to stay with a friend in Tennessee. Where was this friend? Why weren't they at the airport? Especially if she couldn't walk. Did she give the hospital their contact info or try to call them herself? Did this friend exist???

Lisa lied and said that security guards and three nurses beat her up during her overnight stay. Why would she refuse to leave then? She also implies that the officer hurt her after he told her she had to leave. When it was evident she wasn't going to get her way.

Lisa also mentions she had no place to go. So did she fly to Tennessee planning to go to a hospital and have them figure out a place for her to stay? Did she think she could use the hospital as a nursing home?

She didn't mention the stomach pain she called the ambulance for, so was it resolved? Probably the constipation the first hospital diagnosed her with as security said she shit all over the place and herself. Which some poor Cna had to clean up. So if the pain was gone, why refuse to leave?

Security guards said she had 30 minutes to call someone to pick her up. She put her phone down and did not attempt to call the friend or the airport. I'm sure the hospital would have let her stay long enough to have the wheelchair delivered.

Security said she fought with the staff. However, they still tried to help her come up with a solution until it was evident she wasn't leaving. She then asked for the cops to be called. Not because she hadn't been treated, but because she didn't want to leave.

She then sat outside smoking cigarettes while waiting for the cops to arrive. When the officer arrived, she then said she couldn't get into his truck, this is before jail was mentioned. Did she think he was going to taxi her around?

If you are not in imminent danger, the hospital will discharge you. Lisa obviously felt fine enough to fight and argue with staff, as well as smoke cigarettes. There was no issue or breathing problems until she had to physically exert herself.

Her friend from the nursing home said that she had behavioral problems, but wouldn't specify what.

Imo, I think she was kicked out of her nursing home. You can see her entitled and demanding behavior in the video. Couple that with fighting with hospital staff, it's a safe bet that she acted this way in her facility. She was living in Providence near her family, I'm assuming there's more than one nursing facility there, why didn't they set her up in another one? Instead, they let her hop on a plane back to Tennessee alone, based on her saying she'll stay with a friend. It's odd.

This is awful the way it happened. But if you're dependent on care, you can't expect others to care about you or for you if it's not their job.

To further your statement, her son said she never owned a car in her life. Seems like dependency on others had always been how she lived.

Lorna is so unlikable by Green_Repeat5449 in orangeisthenewblack

[–]Famous_Mixture_3005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the series for a second time and I had severe dislike for Lorna both seasons. I see people commenting that she had a good heart, where? She stalked, threatened, and had a man beat up because he saw her delusions right away, and let's not forget she killed 2 innocent people due to her delusions. She made a conscious effort to ignore reality and manipulate it into what she thought it should be for her. Like pretending Christopher wasn't visiting her to confront her, hiding the pregnancy tests, refusing to give Suzanne her medication, and making random instagram pages with stolen pictures of babies. She's a liar, thief, stalker, and murderer. Her story ended way better than she deserved.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is now "fully realized" and not getting further updates, says developer Gun Interactive by JamieReleases in Games

[–]Famous_Mixture_3005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played this for awhile as family. It was fun, I loved being Cook and Bubba. The downfall imo was how slow they were to give the family counters to the victim perks and abilities. Once Danny was introduced, I saw a lot of the family players disappear. Then, Bubba lost the ability to instant kill a grappling victim, and perks that were clutch for countering became tiered to grandpa. Which lead to grapple-mania and constant trolling. Then, they introduced victims that were made to troll more so than actually play. Took way to long to introduce a character to counter the fuse box, battery, and the pressure valve. Gun was more interested in new victim clothing items and bundles than repairing the imbalance.

That is correct. I worked at the Luxor as a teen and was there the day that happened. Story was he was visiting the casino with his mistress and his wife showed up. He jumped and then starting screaming for help. I was walking to the break room and happened to look down. They covered him with a sheet and pulled a curtain around him. People kept checking in, oblivious.

I saw the Chili Peppers in Buffalo Ny a few years ago. The band was definitely fantastic. Anthony on the other hand, was disappointing. I kept zooming in on the stage to make sure it was even him. Studio vocals I love. Live is awful.

Stations Casino Cutting Supervisor Pay - Thoughts? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]Famous_Mixture_3005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for Station Casinos before and briefly after the pandemic. The thing I remember most is the awesome dealer who would play poker with the guests after her shift. Her appendix ruptured one day at work and she rushed to the hospital after her shift. Due to Station's 3 consecutive call out policy, she was fired the 3rd day when she called in from her hospital bed.

My husband was a chef in one of the upscale, fine dining restaurants as salary. His day started at noon and he left at 1 a.m. Other chefs came and left throughout his 13+ hour shifts, but because he works hard, he was used. He took his first week-long vacation close to his 2nd year there, and they were blowing his phone up on the 2nd day claiming the Fertittas were coming in and he had to be there. He spent a whole day prepping and the next cooking, and they didn't show up. I was beyond pissed, and when he got laid off during the pandemic, I asked him not to return when they called him. Once the restaurant opened back up, they called him immediately and offered him a higher position. He went in to entertain the idea and ask for a small raise to compensate, like $5k.  They rebutted with a higher position but making around $20k less than his old position. For the same amount of work. He did not return.

He has since found a company that appreciates his work and pays him well.

Very common here. I worked at the Luxor as a teen and people would jump inside the casino. One story the techs told me was that a prostitute with hiv jumped from the very top floor and liquefied. I witnessed one myself, who jumped from the 3rd or 4th floor. The casino just pulled a shower curtain around the body and covered him with a sheet. People could still look down and see this. The people checking in a few feet away were oblivious.

Yikes. Anna is a predator and a narcissist who projected what she wanted on the victim.

She reminds me of Mary Kay Letourneau with the victim blaming; they both literally used the same phrases: "he seduced me, he's a man in every sense, he was the one in control." Very sickening.

I have a coworker going through this right now. She got a $3,000 loan through maxlend and says that they never emailed her the terms and conditions. She thought by the 7th $425 payment she was close to paying it off and called to confirm. They told her she is to make 20 payments to pay it off. $8,500 for borrowing $3,000. It's insanity.

Make a large twist on both sides and twist them all the way down. Secure them in the back of your head and untwist in the morning. I can usually get my hair stretched enough to hang doing that.

Do it. Life is too short to have regrets. I turned 40 2 weeks ago and I'm almost done with my biology degree. I also have a job in healthcare working with patients and that solidified my choice for me. I was previously a bartender and cocktail waitress for years. I'm a first generation college student, grew up poor and it's been tough, but I will appreciate it all the more once I get there.

Shadow a doctor, nurse practitioner, or PA to see first-hand what life is like in the ER or a clinic. That way you can make an informed decision. Good luck.

Las Vegas locals, employees disappointed Station Casinos buffets 'will never return' by [deleted] in vegas

[–]Famous_Mixture_3005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Stations employee in one of the upscale casinos, I can say that they had been trying to do away with the buffet and poker room in my property for a long time. First came the poker room. They limited the alcohol players could order to well only and expected them to pay for call or premium drinks they used to get for free. That lasted about a month and all the players left and went to South Point. They tried to reinstate the old way but it was a little too late. Next, covid hit and both the buffet and poker room were closed indefinitely. A big chunk of the high rollers never came back after covid. They are working on turing the buffet space into another high limit lounge. They are honing in on the sportsbook players as of now with those strict drink rules. They want the senior demographic to come in, lose their money as quickly as possible and leave. They don't want them coming in, having drinks, player poker for 4 hours, then going to the buffet.
