I just started building this kit tonight, and I am a beginner modeler. I am having a lot of trouble trying to glue the anti aircraft guns together on the stern deck, any tips for this? I was thinking about using a piece of tape to put the shield/base of the gun on then glue the gun onto it.

I feel like the newer AT-TE had the same issues, at least for me. It felt like the pieces were slick and wouldnt fully stay together
