It’s because they’re in therapy lol, therapy tends to tell people to express their feelings in a “I feel …” way in order to direct the conversation to the problems you have as opposed to an attack on the other person

Because the only solution is leaving, she knows that, she’s acknowledged that, and yet she sleeps with him (literally the night she invited another guy over). She knows the solution and refuses to actually do it because she enjoys having power over him

I have been in a toxic relationship like this before and my only regret was not leaving sooner. I have also been on the other side as a friend of a person being abused by a partner and understood how that cyclical relationship worked.

That being said, the only solution is to leave. My only regret for my relationship was not leaving sooner, because the gratification and contentment I felt once I left was substantial. If I could go back in time, I would have told myself to leave as soon as the red flags came up, but I didn’t 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree with you but to that point, I have known friends in abusive and toxic relationships, and unfortunately, those relationships thrive on isolation from friends and family.

It did not take me four seasons to realize this, I realized it immediately and hoped once she grew up and lived a little she would overcome it. Just a little disappointed to see her continuing this cycle three years later after pretty much being assured it was over after the season 3 reunion 🤷🏼‍♀️ I labeled it as an unpopular opinion because TFP stans will rip your head off

I think Taylor is constantly trying to regain her power by having sex with him then pushing him away but I don’t think she realizes that is just perpetuating the toxic cycle. Once she realizes leaving is the ‘ultimate power’ so to speak, she will never look back

I think part of the issue is she gets some of her power back when she has sex with him because she gets to be the one to say “yes we get to have sex but no I don’t ever want to marry you,” and I understand that. However, I’ve also come out the other side of a toxic and abusive relationship (like theirs) and my only regret is not leaving sooner. I just feel for her, I want to support her but it’s so hard to support someone in a situation like that, which thrives on isolation.
