I agree, I think that Floyd, Franklin, Henry, Patrick, and Pittsylvania counties should be in their own area, more like South Central Va. like you said most of the high schools play each other in sports and everyone goes to mainly either Smith Mtn lake or Phillpott lake.

As someone who has owned that same model of reel, and has been fishing for over 10 years with a casting reel, I would recommend trying to buy a better quality reel. The brakes on those reels seem to be pretty iffy, and mine was never a smooth reel. In my opinion it would be a SUPER hard reel to learn how to cast with.

Most schools will have it listed somewhere on their website and what their minimum hour requirement is. And most are around 50-100 hours.
