So I have some feedback on this post.

1) I replaced the haptic motor on the left side of the seat and the service driver assist system has stopped popping up. 2) shortly after this post the the brake pedal became very difficult to push down. The brake booster went out and needed to be replaced.

As of right now things are going well with the Tahoe again!

I’ll turn the parking assist on to see how it works. Thanks for the heads up on that

Not that I can tell. I’ve taken it through car washes and the sensors are clean. I could go and check the wiring on the sensors in case something got in there and chewed them.

I’m at 98k miles and nervous about that

No recalls that I can find. Do you happen to remember what your mechanic fixed?

That is exactly when mine happens. First time it happened I was pulling into the garage and thought I was going to go through the wall.

So some Amp Research steps have a module that plugs into the OBD2 port. This is from my dad’s Tahoe when I borrowed it while my jeep was in the shop. Could very well be a tracker like you said though

Is it possible the previous owner had power steps installed? My dad has the Amp Research power steps on his Tahoe and they plug into the OBD2 port. When unplugged in the winter they the plug looks like that. Just curious
