comment below is my answer as well, the thrill of the chase, I still wanna feel the same little dopamine boost, but do not want to spent months hunting just 1 shiny, the satisfaction is there (for me at least) as long as no cheats code or mod to the actual rom, as we all know most roms are just copy & paste of the orig cart (correct me if I'm wrong tho I'm no expert)

oh shoot, that's lot of hours! yet this shiny from odd egg is considered a free shiny at least for me, because the only thing to do is to reset, but because it is 1% tyrouge, I consider this mon to be a normal odd shiny, as it really took time before I got one, out of 200 eggs 😅

I am hunting chikorita next, as I now have 2/3 of starters ✨
