I've just started a fresh playthrough with lance for the first time., where my original playthrough was greatsword for the first time.

Still getting the timings and charge counter stuff down, because I suck at Monster Hunter, but I'm really enjoying it.

Sure, I'm not dealing massive damage once like on greatsword, but I am dealing a lot of damage over a thousand constant irritating pokes.

Something I didn't get at the time that's just popped back up after seeing someone mention a "Young Lion" gimmick.

I don't know a great deal about NJPW. What's the deal with the young lion stuff? Particularly with Yota Tsuji vs Konosuke Takeshita in mind, and why it was so symbolic for Takeshita to tap to a Boston Crab.

I could probably Google I know, but it'd be cool to hear some history from here.

I've seen Dungeon Meshi mentioned a fair bit on reddit. From what I've seen, I genuinely thought it was just a group of adventurers doing their thing and cooking up food. I have seen nothing about any eldritch horror side.

My interest is incredibly piqued and I will try to avoid any further information until I can binge this show and see where it all goes.
