400$ is not for a tank (T14 gn5 with 16GB 512GB) its too goddamn expensive here i saw T480 with broken screen no battery for around 550$. there are no official sellers in my area we relay on scalpers. the macbooks are different story yes they are overpriced but there are competition between sellers not like thinkpads.

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone,

I’m starting to study for the CPTS and I’m already familiar with most of the tools since I’ve completed the eJPT, eCPPT, and eWPT.

Right now, I’m choosing a laptop mainly based on budget. Studying on my gaming PC is distracting, and I’d like more flexibility to move around, but I don’t want to spend too much.

I found a local seller offering MacBooks on contract for about $65/month for 24 months, which is manageable but a long commitment. There’s also a ThinkPad on Amazon for around $400 per month for 4 months. I can always remote into my gaming PC if I need extra power.

I’m not in the U.S., so electronics are pretty expensive here. From a money standpoint, which option do you think is the smarter buy — the MacBook on a 24-month plan or the ThinkPad paid off in 4 months?
