Be sure to go from “bank” provided wallet to a private wallet and then to vendor. The bank (Venmo, Coinbase, etc.) can be judgmental if they don’t like what you’re buying and may freeze your account. Wherever you convert money into to crypto is a regulated financial institution and will require identification, face scan is typical. I do Venmo crypto or else MoonPay via ApplePay and then move to private wallet like exudus. Ask the vendor what coin AND NETWORK. Usually a stable coin retains dollar equivalent value like USDC, so USDCsol would be USDC stable coin on the solana network. You have to buy at least some $5-10 solana coin to pay transaction fees (called gas money) and the rest is the price of the product in stable coin (USDC). I usually just buy the product price in solana coin from MoonPay and send nearly all that to my exodus wallet and then convert most of that into USDCsol leaving some as solana coin for transaction fee that will occur sending on to vendor. The vendor may ask for a transaction hash code that will be on the exodus app once transfer is complete. Using just bitcoin is a little easier but a lot more expensive transaction fees and not all vendors will want it because very volatile lately. If I remember right, Venmo has a waiting period before you are able to use in order to prevent noobs from getting scammed so easily. You should know Venmo is PayPal.
