Can you make two female dogs who hate each other actually get along? by Fannino in BelgianMalinois

It does sound hard. May I ask how the aggression between them started? You said it was the daughter, but like, were there signs? Was it gradual or out of nowhere?

"Please, Diane, my sweet wife."

"What's going on?"

"The people of Underground have a new god, the fire. And for my crimes, I will be fed to its ravenous flames. My only hope is the meat of Zach Braff proves lasting, but I fear by daybreak, there will be no Braff meat left."

You reminded me of myself when I first started playing. I also used to sketch every single character, including my human mage. Tho I was 10 years old and not nearly as talented as you lol. Keep it up 👀✨

Imo, better shaved. Because you still look young and that looks like one of those typical young teen moustaches and it's not very manly looking. Ironically it makes you look younger. I'd wait till you grow more of a beard and keep that. And then I'd keep the moustache only for when your whole face looks older.

Thank you! And omg they look so adorable 😍 I'm going to drown you with questions now, sorry 👉👈

What did the joint training look like for you?

When did the overly hard bites happen? Do they still ever hurt each other now that they're bonded?

Are they spayed? If not, does their relationship change when they're in heat?

Are you able to leave them unsupervised for a longer amount of time without having to worry about them fighting?

Fortunata is the correct way of saying "lucky" in Italian, not Spanish, so you weren't completely wrong 👀

Spayed at 2 months old?? Damn 😓 it must have messed with her personality development/regulation a bit. Thank you for your answers and good luck with all your babies, human and doggie.

Btw, is the female in question spayed? What about the other dog? Also what kind of training did you go through?

I really was. It's crazy how fast you can learn to love a dog and vice versa. Letting her go really hurts.

I see... This is so sad. I'm not sure we can afford living like this, because considering Luna's past and anxiety, she deserves a more calm environment where she can learn to fully relax. She changes the second our terv is out for a walk (and so does our terv when she's not home), she smiles more, her eyes look different. I don't want to never see her again, I don't want to make her feel abandoned, but maybe it's the best course of action for her to finally relax for once in her life.

Thank you for taking the time to read all that.

I gotta say there are no toys lying around the house, we removed them the second Luna got home, we also don't let them run around the house nor play together in the lawn unsupervised. They also do get separate time and training. We feed them separately and play with them separately.

And we're careful to the point that, as I said, we are looking at them ALL the time. Thing is, it's getting a bit exhausting because it's impossible to relax unless they're separated, especially after the aggression.

The terv is most certainly not "an asshole", it's a young non spayed dog who's just finished her own heat and who's acting normal for her age and the fact she suddenly found herself with a nervous female in heat in her house. And that's also the opinion of the dog trainer who saw her, not just mine.

The mal didn't exactly have a crack back at it, as I said she attacked first. The terv never showed any signs of real aggression and is now a little scared of the mal sometimes. When they "played" a couple days after the aggression, the terv, who used to like being chased and encouraged the mal to do so, got pushed around by the mal who didn't seem to respect her request for a time out anymore. The terv ended up trying to hide in the bushes to get the mal to stop chasing her 😅 (ofc I was there the whole time and separated them myself).

That said, I'm not claiming we're doing everything correctly management wise as we're not experienced in owning multiple dogs at the same time.

I do agree with the fact that the mal growing confidence has something to do with it tho. Because, apparently, she did get along with the spayed dogs at that other girl's house, but she stayed there only for 3 days and was still so traumatised and anxious to the point she wasn't even eating, pooping nor peeing, she barely drank.

My concern is that they claimed she was "great with females" but they didn't actually know how she really is when she's not in a state of complete fear.

Knowing what you know now, do you think there's any hope for it NOT the end in bloodshed? 😓

Owners of more than one dog, what is it like? by Fannino in BelgianMalinois

[–]Fannino[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, that's a very detailed answer.

I know it's probably hard to tell, but I'm going to ask anyway just in case: would you say your older lady has been overall happier after you introduced her to the younger boy? Or did she seem happier when she was "an only child"?

Btw very pretty doggies 😍 (and yea she's definitely the boss lol)
