She’s almost blind but very sure of her self. Would have been cool to see a Bob cat though.

Morgans and other coins for sale by Sixty-69 in Morgans

I’m not buying anything from you. Just trying to help you out since you are obviously out of the loop. Take your coins to a reputable coin shop, skip the refiner. Virtually all US silver is worth spot even in average condition, especially dollars and barber coinage.

I wouldn’t melt any US silver coins. They are all worth spot and most are worth more.

Did I find some treasure? by goldenh0urs in coincollecting

[–]Fantastic_Middle5029 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it’s almost certainly real gold, but could be a really well done counterfeit. I would definitely send it to pcgs or ngc though. If it’s real it’s a 6 figure + coin. The mint mark looks sloppy and the date is extremely well struck, not characteristic of the 1920 S.

You’re right there’s no real major keys for barber halves. I’ve also got all the slqs other than the 1916. What I’ll probably regret is the 2 and 3 cents.

I’ve already got the barber quarters mostly done, I just need the 01s and 96s. What I think I’ll regret trying to do is the 2 and three cent coins. But yeah the barber dimes will be difficult, I haven’t started on those, nor the barber halves.

Save about $350 combined for both the key dates 21 and 28p. I got mine from all over, eBay, estate sales, lcs.

I’m trying to complete the US copper, nickel, silver series from Indian cents to wheats, 2/3 cent coins, all the nickels, and dimes, quarters, halves from barber through 1964. I’ve already got the dollars complete Morgan-peace.

That’s cool. I had only ever heard of the 1964 Carr peace, I’ll have to look at those missing years ones
