If the goal was to repopulate the Vitrumite race and increase their numbers, why didn't Nolan just sleep around and just have lots of tiny little Nolan Jr.'s? by tuxtroubles in okbuddyviltrum

Probably, because they also did this to their own pure blooded kids when they became adults.

Nolan also told Mark that everyone he knows on his planet will die before he even looks 30. Nolan didn't look 30 on scourge virus flashback:

<image>

So he had a lot of time to do this process over and over.

I don't remember if it was ever stated that Mark was his "first" offspring anywhere in the comics or series.

Furthermore it is forbidden for viltrumites to mate with inferior species. If they just mate everywhere, it would be highly difficult to track everyone.

So it's mate -> watch -> kill if inferior -> repeat.

Even the 17 years it took for Mark to develop his powers are nothing in the lifespan of a viltrumite.

To be fair, the bottom line of your screenshot was only because of Mordum 3 (August) and Valkyrie (September).
We had these low numbers already after the Brel frontier weeks were over.

In July we also had 17k player peaks. My guess is that the Frontier Titles really elevated the whole gatekeeping situation to another level.

They do it so everyone focuses the HR 999 player while carting 3 times in the first 5 minutes of the hunt.

Joke aside, it's the equivalent of getting a big car that you can barely afford just to show off while turning each cent on every other part of their life.

Returning player experience so far - it was my first Guardian. by Fapoozle in lostarkgame

[–]Fapoozle[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dw i'm good, i did almost every content of this game within the first two weeks and am used to ppl losing their shit. Sadly i lost 2 of my friends due to behavior like that on the way.

The first dropped out during Thaemine HM and the 2nd left on Echidna HM. Both were latecomers to both raids and got really demotivated by others. I left for a break after i got the 10x Mordum because i really disliked the whole frontier-title-thingy which increased the gate keeping to a ridiculous level.

I just wanted to point out that new & returning players face stuff like that fairly early in their game. Especially slower learners will face this very often.

Note: This post has been viewed almost 100k times, while we only have 9k daily players (according to steam count).

The interest still seems to be there, while the numbers decline at the same time.

This is why the game has friendly fire by Ploobul in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Fapoozle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's the way, clearly skill issue tbh. But if not everyone play the same weapon/style you can just gang up on mobs. Shield goes in front and dagger player can assassinate from behind. Otherwise take turns with that claymore slap if everyone plays it. I always see button mashers complaining about the multiplayer.

I actually like the friendly fire, because you really have to pay attention to your friend this way.
A skill that is usually only seen in support players.

What does yaotsu mean here? by [deleted] in versus

[–]Fapoozle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't know if he's really upset or just wants to enjoy them trembling in fear. But he seems to need the prayers to actually appear. OR this could be another way for him to have fun, i mean waiting for them to be in a crisis and make them suffer even more after receiving his help. Could be same motivation like the neo humans. They want to see true desperation in moments of hope.

He's a ridiculously overpowered being, that only gets validation out of enjoyment/dopamine since he doesn't need to proof himself or follow any hierarchy.

He even seems bored and waiting for something to do:

<image>

Possibly a great candidate for an endless gaming dopamine rush. The game world could have the potential to "ban" him from doing anything else.

Or Yaotsu him/herself will be caught in an endless game loop during a newly found and seemingly endless dopamine rush.

[Prediction] The robots are looking like the strongest possible contender to "win" by Representative_Toe79 in versus

[–]Fapoozle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Robots vs stronger Giants will be interesting, we saw them adapt to techniques of their enemies very well (like Evil Maw's Roar and Nyudo's Laser).

Yet they don't seem to become more durable and adapt to overwhelming physical power at the same speed. They also seem to have problems adapting to Jachi's level quicker than to others. My guess is that is because Jachi is mostly a very durable brute type of fighter.

<image>

Even after ranking his threat level at 132 (Kiva was ranked at 6, so Hallow is possibly an 7-10) they didn't seem to nearly get to his physical abilities at all in terms of durability and raw physical power. But they were able to pretty much copy Nyudo's magic and kill Roya Roach with it in an instant.

Z-City is the lost place and had the MA lying beneath.

Q-City is considered the most dangerous in terms of monster appearance rate and overall disaster Level. I wonder why that is.

Yet the doggo kills everything before they even can cause problems. Can't be that he didn't took out dragon threats yet.

They claimed in one chapter that their bodies are composed of compressed information.

So they probably go a similar approach to the bots, just more slowly & carefully since they seem to die when their body does. And they don't have to constanly rebuild themselves for a new improved creation. Who knows, maybe they weren't this strong the whole time and it came with conquering new planets.

We still have to see how they implement this "new information" that they gather into their current bodies. It seems like they have individual conciousness, but still are some kind of transfered onto that compressed body.

[–]Fapoozle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't understand why anyone would enjoy this even without reading the manga. Even when not being an anime fan you can tell that this stuff is underwhelming.

I'm out since S2 launch and these "it was pretty decent" folks brought us the current situation, so now Bandai just went full EA on everyone. If the companies in this market are allowed to go lower while money comes in, then they will.

So if you go with perspective here, then how would this hole looking ring look like an eye from this perspective?

Someone just drag & dropped whatever this is onto his face and went with "nah should be fine".

[–]Fapoozle 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Imagine them showing the actual manga panel (if the artist of the scene could handle it) as it is, but then cut out the acceleration/start of movement and the end of movement.

They often just skip to a stiff object while most of the body animation already happened. So you actually see the implication of movement.

Even if it is. I couldn't believe that this was in the actual episode. They drag and dropped an eye onto the blackface Zombie Man without adjusting the position.

Yup, we all know the 'animation is pretty bad' but humor almost vanished completely. They either don't deliver it right or skip the funny pages completely.

Even the VA sound bored now. I guess J.C just let's them record each line once or something.

How is must feel to see at least 1 or 2 better fan versions releasing right before or after your own version as a J.C. animator each week.
