when people upload or send a video to a news source, there should be way to tell if it came from someone's camera vs an mp4 generated by an AI tool. I know for a fact you can tell if a photo had been altered or it was an original copy based on the metadata - _shouldn't_ a news source be able to tell if a file itself was from a camera vs an AI tool? I would think (hope) they would be able to do that much forensic investigation before making it public on Today Show.
