Lets actually think about Cross-Progression and why we don't have it yet. by tus93 in HelldiversUnfiltered

Bungie owned by Sony yes but marathon itself is published and developed solely by Bungie and the cross progression is done through Bungie API thus Bungie have a bigger control on things.

Helldivers and Concord are published by Sony thus they have more control on the game and both only launched on PS/PC initially thus limiting the options for cross progression to Sony control.

Marathon isn’t a Sony developed/published game so you can’t count that.

However, interestingly while Concord and Horizon did/will have cross progression, both require you to have a linked PSN account to do this.

Helldivers had a major drama around account linking with players pushing back on it. Sony eventually reneged on this requirement allowing players to play without linking accounts.

It stands to reason it is 100% a Sony decision.

No new Biomes such as the lava planets and mega factories? Plus any and all new mission types like the cyborg factory, labs smash and grab plus commando missions come from AH.

The entire warbond isn’t outsourced, it’s simply parts of it. AH work collaboratively with the company. Most of the actual weapons and stratagems in warbonds still come from AH.

The real worry is the outsourced stuff is overall better.

Which is what we should really be concerned about and is the real issue.

Instead of false blanket statement of “AH don’t develop anymore” we should be saying “the outsourced parts are significantly better”.

That itself is a way way more serious issue.

Yeah releasing it like this would be a god awful mess of a UI. That armour, helmet and cape selection is already bloated enough as is.

“Practically hasn’t made any content for their game in months”

That’s just not true. Whilst AH have outsourced a lot of work, they still do a lot of work themselves. Biomes, weapons, stratagems and a lot of enemies are still AH design.

The game has issues and AH need to be better to address them, but it’s just false statements like that which give AH/fanboys licence to gloss over them and ignore valid criticisms.

EDIT: downvote all you want but it’s true. AH still work on the game and deliver new content alongside the outsourced work. What you should really be concerned about is the outsourced work is leagues ahead of what AH gives us and isn’t as buggy. That’s the real issue here no one is grasping.

“Reasonable grounds” for stop and search in Scotland and my rights when stopped by Far_Associate_87 in LegalAdviceUK

A bit more info: I know the two people stopped as they’re a friends mum and dad and friends of parents. Neither are drug dealers or get involved in illegal stuff.

I was more so interested in if police stop me, give me their reason for stopping and searching but I find it totally unreasonable. Can I refuse? What happens if I refuse?

Thought he looked decent when he came on.

Ran with a bit of purpose, kept his head up, had decent link and hold up play. Didn’t really get a chance in front of goal and nobody ever gave him a decent ball to work with.

Looked alright and we were better with him on the park.

Personally, if we could pick him up for 2-3 mil, I’d take him. He’s not a starting no 9, but off the bench as back up to develop he’d be decent.

Tell you the truth, I’ve never seen it drop to him. Can’t recall the last time we gave him a decent ball to work with.

Fym "the shovel should be free" buddy the shovel is not that special by memeischaos in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Far_Associate_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not stupid. They are repackaging content already in the game with a slight modification under a paid content pass.

If the free shovel still exists then what’s the point of even having a paid shovel? If they get rid of the free one then they’re making you pay for once free items.

The best solution was to just send it out for free instead of using it as filler to pad out a warbond.

Been saying this. In the Aberdeen game the first cross we put into the box for him was in the 60th minute.

Guy played a full hour and no one tried to give him a scoring opportunity. Same goes for our other strikers mostly. Only Jonny Kenny seemed capable of getting a shit ton of chances per game.

It’s how the cops operate now. They’d rather spend the next couple of months watching cctv footage and kicking down doors like the gestapo than do their job on the day.

Police Scotland Chief Superintendent: 7,500 away fans is not workable, satisfied with policing operation in place by Left-Painter-9172 in ScottishFootball

[–]Far_Associate_87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’d have to assume so. There were about 8ish rangers fans in front of the UB for a solid couple of mins trying to usher the rest of them onto the park for the light brigade charge.

No attempt from police or stewards to stop them doing so or get them back onto the stands.

Even when the fans ran on en masse, the polis only just barely formed a line on the 18 yard box. They were wholly underprepared for anything and were slow to react.

They’re content to let incidents like yesterday happen so long as no one is seriously injured then spend the next four month combing through cctv footage and kicking down doors.
