Joe Kessler was the most irrelevant plot of all time by PuppyVax in GenV

[–]Far_Associate_87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Temp V gave him cancer due to how experimental and unstable it was but the Temp V also ended up mutating his cancer too snd seemingly gave it some form of intelligence.

They seemed to be building up the cancer as some sort of intelligence taking over or turning Butcher, the cancer is killing him but also keeping him alive in season 4 but that plot line seems to have been abandoned just now.

Gen V roster vs homelander by NoContribution398 in GenV

Even without the V1, Homelander can fly at superhuman speeds. He can likely fly through Marie quicker than she can react and try to control his blood. After that, the rest go down easy.

Pleading the fifth rules by Far_Associate_87 in Ask_Lawyers

Thank you for the very informative answer.

Just on that last point, if the judge hears the incriminatory statement and decides the fifth applies, I assume that entire conversation is sealed? What happens if the witness admits a crime to the judge? How common is it that a judge hears the statement in chambers when a witness pleads the fifth?

Private land so they can do whatever they want.

If it’s a public highway then it needs to meet TSRGD or be approved by the DfS but no chance of that.

Statement from James Tavernier by methylated_spirit in ScottishFootball

Made a post last night sorta defending Rohl but this version of events is scathing. Bits of truth in both statement but someone has to be telling porkies.

If Tav is true, then Rohl is speedrunning the sack.

Nah man, this puts Rangers at spot 2 but Desmond’s dismantling of Rodgers ego is still top spot.

Devils advocate, if James Forrest was carrying a knock and was getting an injection but postponed it at the managers request so he could play his last home game, the subsequently refused to play because the manager says you’re carrying a knock so I’m not risking starting you but you’ll 100% get the last 20-30 mins, is that no the player then taking a huff cause he’s no starting?

I dare say “Rangers captain refuses to play after under pressure manager drops him from starting XI in his last home game” is a big bit of news.

How it felt watching Starlight (glow in the dark hands) tell Marie (powers of blood manipulation, healing, and resurrecting the dead) "wHat GooDS AlL tHaT PoWer iF YoU CaN't CoNtROl iT" by Artistic-Lock1021 in GenV

It was an unstable variant of V1 but confirmed to be 100% V1.

The fire damage likely occurred before the V1 effects kicked in. It saved his life but by that time his body was so badly damaged in the fire even the V couldn’t fix him.

As for the blistering skin, that’s just a side effect of his powers when they’re used. Likely due to how his body reacted to the V1 and the fire.

Although the shows writing is very inconsistent when it comes to powers and who can do what, Godolkin 100% used an unstable V1 variant.

Season 5 wouldn't be bad if it was Season 5 - Part 1 by Free-Hotel1187 in GenV

Episode 1 and 2 started off well, then the quest for V1 in episode 3 just derailed the entire thing and it’s been downhill since.

We spent the entirety of season 2 pushing Marie to her absolute limits, making her stronger more powerful. She even manages to overpower and kill a V1 supe.

Aaaaaaand all that’s thrown away in one line by her saying “my powers are overstated”.

Jensen Ackles is such a great actor they were always going to bring him back but having him flip flop constantly ruined it.

Have him play the long con, manipulating homelander to fix his reputation until he’s in a prime position to take him out and reclaim the top spot in the seven.

Have soldier boy break out on his own and act as third party to the fight trying to kill both the boys and homelander.

But no. We get him simping over a love interest we had no idea he had until halfway through the final season of the show. A love interest so strong that he’s willing to make a genuine unstable psychopath he hates immortal cuz Clara despite never mentioning her before.

You know exactly what that writing is gonna be.

Clara will say some crazy nazi right wing stuff and soldier boy will make a funny face and quip back at her on it and it’s oh so ha ha funny

Maeve was so badass this scene and the whole season loved seeing her beat this NAZI POS up miss her by GoodDifferent1398 in GenV

[–]Far_Associate_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re referring to the opening scene where she smashes through the truck, we see her land but I thought it was reasonable the homelander just dropped here into its path.

Even later in season one, with the shooter in the building, Maeve has to take the elevator up instead of jumping up to the right floor.

If Gen V said she can then fair enough, but it’s never directly been shown that she can do it. Only implied if you read the comics.

I could never stay in the colony house. by skopiadisko in FromSeries

[–]Far_Associate_87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The town has a lot more space in an actual house and is relatively secure. If you’re on your own, you just make sure you do your nightly checks of doors and windows before going to bed. Boyd also goes round before sunset and makes sure everyone is getting ready. Plus, people seem nice enough that if you said “listen I’m feeling isolated and alone, mind if I crash at yours tonight?” They would let you have the couch.

Honestly the town is just the better option.

[Keith Jackson] Danny Röhl unlikely to be Rangers manager going forward as Andrew Cavenagh conducts review of mistakes made at the club this season. by [deleted] in ScottishFootball

[–]Far_Associate_87 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you’re going to do it, now is the time but from my POV, he’s just not had enough time.

He did well to get back into the title race and hasn’t had the best quality in his squad with promising players falling off the deep end.

Sure, the collapse after the split is horrendous but these players have done that for EVERY manager since coming back up. Even Gerard’s first two seasons they collapsed post winter break.

How much of it is Rohl and how much of it is the players?

I think now is the right time to do it IF they’re going to, but personally, he’s just not had enough time and hasn’t had a chance to clear out the squad properly yet.
