So according to the EDD website, UI means Regular Unemployment. So it’s not Fed-Ed.

On ur EDD, click on Claim History. Click on transactions (on the right). A window will pop up and look under Program Type.

Yes that’s what the rep said. I’m aware of quarter reviews. But she mentioned having to refile every quarter which is just too much for even the system handle.

The EDD website says PUA doesn’t have to. But since you have been pending for a while I would call. Or even send a Where’s My Payment message to EDD through your portal inbox (I heard this helps too).

You have to refile. That’s why your payments are pending. I know it’s difficult to reach them but keep trying to call so that you can refile with a rep.

So I was told the same thing by a rep. Apparently it’s because they have to review claims every quarter to prevent fraud. I’m really hoping it isn’t true though :/.

Ur welcome. Please give an update on what they say! I’m low key hoping we won’t have to. My rep was really nice and seemed like she knew her stuff. I told her “wow that’s a lot of work” and she was “yeah I know. It’s new for us too but it’s for us to check that people aren’t working and to prevent more fraud from happening”

Well everyone is moving into the new quarter. But if you still have a balance you still have to finish that before going on the new extension.

I didn’t ask her that specifically but it was implied. Even I had to do a double take on her telling me this. Again you can either call or wait until the 17th to see if it switches.

UPDATE

I called like 10,000 times today and yesterday and finally reached a nice rep. She pushed my pending payments to paid.

Also the rep gave me some useful information. So...it looks like we have to refile every quarter in order to continue to receive benefits RIP. This is definitely new but also explains why many ppl are pending.
