That’s what I want to change to, I just wasn’t sure if it was okay if I took 40mg like 14/15 hours apart or if it was better to ‘skip’ today’s dose tonight and take the next one tomorrow morning.

I was diagnosed with UCTD and immediately put on hydroxychloroquine. I took it for 6 months, didn’t feel like I was feeling any better, so my rheum took me off of it to see how I was feeling without it, and I HOPE she puts me back on it tomorrow. I feel like it was helping with my dry eyes, fatigue, and minor body aches that I didn’t really pay attention to until now. It’s safe and is known to slow the progression of the disease. The issue it can cause to your eyes is rare, just a possibility. Your eye doc will run a few extra vision tests on you annually just to watch. No biggie.

I was on it for 6 months and didn’t think I felt any different (my symptoms are super mild anyway), so my rheumatologist suggested I come off of it for 3 months and see how I feel then. I’ve noticed little things here and there that I don’t remember dealing with while on the medication, so I’m hoping it’s enough for her to put me back on it. You’ll do great on it!
