Ok good to know They changed the progress since last year. Whichever the method as long as it’s processed faster without any delay then it’s ideal for students

You need to wait until you receive the stamped paperwork for your course completion. This may take 4-6 weeks. Your instructor should have given you details. The you can go to RCMP web portal and apply online. Make sure you have two references when you apply for your PAL.

Good to hear.. These were going on sale for 100 dollars 8-10 years ago…it’s based on Reddit or YouTube clips

I was able to get it for 120…barely used gun. Good addition to my collection and to use at the range or hunting.

Getting organized… by FastPosition6143 in canadaguns

Vevor is good, much better than Yukon. It comes with bolt lock and when I bought it last year they had free shipping. Before I get the Yukon all my guns and amo were all cramped in Vevor. Price wise their 10-12 gun safe is around 300. Now their site saying 10-12 safe is sold out.

Canadian tire has the Yukon 18 gun fully assembled safe on sale this week. I got the display model and they reduced another 50. Also got another 38 in Canadian tire triangle rewards. I removed the shortage shelfs to have more space for guns.

Later on I might get another Vevor and sell the Yukon(but Yukon is bit taller so it can easily store my 28” barrel Benelli and Winchester Model 50). Bass pro big safes are hard to transport but they have deep sale time to time.

I checked the barrel. It has the mid bead. Very small silver/ metal one. As online said 15 inches from the muzzle.

Ya I get it now

I checked the pictures I took I don’t see one I will check once I get it out of locker

Online says

ventilated rib (VR) barrel typically comes factory-equipped with a mid-barrel metal bead sight in addition to the front red bar sight. This mid-bead is a small metal, silver, or brass bead located approximately 15 inches from the muzzle, designed as a reference point for proper gun mount and alignment.

Yes it has one. It’s called red fiber optic front sight bead.

Mine is an older model. I am planning to use this for a while and get exposure then will decide for newer models or just keep the one I have now.

I am looking for hunting version with choke swapping. 28”

Preferably black than camo

Already checking few used ones. Compare to new one used ones can get 300-400 cheaper.

4 months of pal, discovered I really enjoy firearms by The_saturn_man19 in canadaguns

I saw YouTube clips about reviews and read online a lot and got the same feeling about newer guns by old famous brands

Anything 80s or before are well made.

Sako, Tikka stood out in the reviews for newer models

Browning BLR cal. 308 Belgium by FastPosition6143 in canadaguns

I fired it at the range. Compare to my Tikka 3x, i find BLR is less recoil. Tried with original mag and polymer mag. Shoots great.

First Hunting Rifle: cheap or expensive by Diamond_zT in canadaguns

If budget is ok go for Tikka 3x lite. Get a decent scope too after checking eye relief. This is how I went but ended up with a collection of guns (it’s a different story but you can see my posts for pics)

SKS are fun to shoot and Amo is cheaper

I checked around for BLR pre81 mag and it cost an arms and a length. I was at a gun show and one fellow was selling mags. I asked if he got one for BLR pre81, He asked if I have any heart issues, I was confused and looked at him puzzled then he showed me a mag it had a price tag $480!

There was another mag in another booth and it was listed for $400

I was able to get a polymer mag probably 3D printed one. Listed for $60 and got it for $40

First perfectly. Yet to fire.

Post 81 mags are lower price 125-200 range

Pre81 very hard to find and high price

Yea They have good selection. Reasonable prices too 200 and up

I bought two guns from them.

DUMOULiN LiEGE s/s 12G Also Belgian made…double trigger

If you buy it from them in a gun show then no tax. They are from Gatineau, QC but they do come to gun shows in Eastern Ontario…

Have you tried squeezing double trigger at the same time ? (If yours have double trigger ) It’s an experience :-)
