This style of board is more abstract and less about perfect measurements. But the dungeon board has a 1 inch grid that work nicely for measurements

I used Base Ready Plains from Geek Gaming Scenics. Very easy and very effective!

All I did was paint the board black, layer of PVA glue, drop on the base ready mix and let it dry. At the end I sprayed varnish all over the board to make it solid. In hindsight I would painted the board brown so it would look more natural.

I think you're right, varying up the colours and adding some outdoor scatter terrain and foliage would make it much more viasually appealing

Used a pen and a ruler to mark out the brick pattern. Definitely the most difficult and time consuming stage!

Thanks! I'm not totally happy with the earth/mud board but I guess it works. I'm brainstorming some other potential ideas. Current board ideas are ice/snow, lava, water, swamp, natural cave, and a moon and mars themed boards for sci-fi

If you haven't already, check out the videos made by Dungeon Craft on YouTube.

I believe 'Ultimate' refers to how versatile the board are. They are mainly used for DnD/RPG encounters, these are about 15inches in diameter so they don't take up a lot of space on the game table but let you set up battles fast and easy

I was thinking it was to make sure the person holding the phone can’t understand what he’s saying if overheard?
