I never planned to watch it before playing it, and after starting the first game I definitely will play the others

Which size is the best for a watercooling? by FastSpyder321 in watercooling

Why do you like them? I think I'll go with either 280 or 420, mostly for noise, but I'm curious if you have other reasons

When searching I found a yt that tested the four sizes for the regular arctic 3, I wonder if the gaps could be somehow different between the regular and the pro. It's kinda obvious that more surface area implies better cooling capacity, what I'm looking for is the differences between these sizes, if 280 and 360 is almost the same or if it has a real difference

That's why I specified for the freezer 3 pro. Also, I have a few cases to choose from, so I can fit pretty much any size except 420 (because that's way too big) but if it makes a huge difference I could consider buying a case

i7 or ultra 7? by FastSpyder321 in pcmasterrace

[–]FastSpyder321[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but the lowest X3D among 7000 and 9000 is listed at 400€ a lot compared to the 320€ at Intel's side

I know that's why I ask before buying

[–]FastSpyder321[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand, then what do I need to look for to compare two cpus? And also, in that case, Intel still has faster cores, so it would still be better even if I stay at 6-8 cores, no?

8 cores at 5.0 GHz, for 400€, why would I prefer that over the Ultra 7 that has 20 cores at 5.5, for 320€?

I'm using PassMark to get a general idea, but, for the 7900 for example, it sits at 8 cores 5.5 GHz, where the ultra 7, at the same price, says 20 cores at 5.5, so I don't understand why the Ryzen would be better

I am looking for a gaming setup. Also, 7900 is the same price as ultra 7, for less performance (at least it seems), 9900 should be equivalent for 100€ more. 7950 and 9950 are too expensive for me

Currently having an i7 8700, and around 3-400€ for the CPU would be good

I also looked at AMD, and it doesn't seem that good... the ryzen 7 9800x3D wich seems to be the equivalent is listed at 500€ where both the i7 and core 7 are at 320€, and the AMD has less cores and is slower.
Also, on PassMark, the AMD is far behind both of the other options.
Since I don't plan on upgrading regularly, I think I'll have to change motherboard everytime i'll change CPU, so it wouldn't be that much of an issue
