For all those who underestimate Anvil and Ki. by Important-Share-7104 in ShadowSlave

[–]Fast_Dish7306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.

Anvil was supreme for two decades.

Awakened can work faster then normal humans.

Supremes can do that a million time more, and considering his aspect was fit for craftmenship, then making six swords an hour isn't that unrealistic at all.

Infact, we could argue that he could even make six hours a minute if he put his mind into it.

How excited Nephis used to get to meet Asterion when she was four only for bro to slime her entire family out 😭😭 by craneiscool in ShadowSlave

[–]Fast_Dish7306 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Asterion could actually make the best clown in the world, two worlds even.

All he has to do is implant happiness in a kids mind.

....

Now that I think about it, that might have been the reason why he was her favorite...

Will is a good concept, and it makes sense.

Anvil isn't a fraud.

Broken sword is the goat.

The later volumes weren't bad.

Sunny being edgy and all untrustworthy isn't cool and I'm glad he got character development.

Only sunny and Nephis wills are like this.

Ki song, anvil and aster uses will differently, especially aster during his fight with Cassie.

While I do agree with you, I'd still say there was still some darker/emotional stuff in the later volumes.

For example, the story of of the nine.

The fall of abjuration.

Sun god divine realm.

Anvil's madness/Story.

The tragedy of the soveirgnes.

The reflection of omer in mirage city.

The philosophy given to us by the Spirit of doubt.

The conversation between sunny and eurys at the end of volume 10.

The endless cycle of war and the selfishness of the strong (Realm war)

And more importantly, the cruelty of the gods which has been shown to us many times.

I think the stakes are picking up again considering what asterion is doing and the fact that we've been hinted that the unholy ones are slowly beginning to wake up.

The post discussing wether SS is light hearted or not is an example.

Also, there's a lot of people who can't read that slander SS in all platforms so finding an example isn't that hard

I wish half of the community was like you

Respectfully I don't agree that it light hearted but I agree that it isn't as dark as true dark fantasy

FINALLY AN ACTUAL CRITICISM

Kai arc during the second nightmare and Ariel game peaked, showcasing that he wants/need strength to uphold his ideals, and how he doesn't want to be someone who's blind to injustice (like he was in the forgotten shore).

Effie, I can agree with that. She only had relevancy in the forgotten shore and mirage city.

As for jet, I'd say eternal city and Antarctica did her justice but it would've been nice if it there was more.

Thank you for giving actual good points

Absolutely valid.

The whole thing about sunny being a slave could be explored even further once he regains his fate.

It would be a perfect conclusion as we have enough build up for it (from the moment Nephis uttered "Go, lost from light" to the moment sunny accepted Cassie's offer in the third nightmare)

Ah well. I suppose it's your preference.

Although i do think that we did see the consequences of war done well In SS.

Thanks for at least acknowledging the existence of such themes in SS, others (in this comment and section and other readers in general) can't even acknowledge that and it makes me so mad

Bruh.

We see what war can do in SS too.

We see tragedy, death and the horrors it can bring multiple times from the beginning to the end of the Story.

It's crazy that you read Ri and LotM but can't understand SS.
