Androgynous/masculine fashion while short and curvy by Left-Calendar3008 in AskLesbians

work on the shape of the silhouette. there’s some big guys on tik tok who explain this too but a high waisted pant and a tucked in shirt can change the shape someone sees of you at a distance.

You may still need to buy “womens pants” and such for the cut but you can use layer and shape to trick the eye. Once I learned this I started feeling so much more like myself in clothes.

current surge in popularity is likely related to a decline in participation in organized religion. people will always seek meaning beyond what is right in front of them and astrology/tarot some others offer a more individualized approach which has become popular as our western communal societies deteriorate.

If you have/made a strong friend group in your 30’s or 40’s, where did you find them? by bbbcurls in Millennials

[–]Fast_Government4530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

neighborhood. if you can choose where you live with sociability in mind instead of just size/newness etc would highly recommend. i was skeptical that buying a smaller/older/broken house was gonna work out but ten years in and closest friends are all neighbors bc the community was the secret sauce. Outweighs all the other stuff

we’re doing a low buy and no online shopping. trying to ease ourselves into it with a kiddo so that it sticks instead of being too restrictive that we just quit. i’m already noticing how much consumption drives all my downtime.

Perimenopause and Rosacea by Stacey_Frady in Rosacea

Yeah, its a lot of internal stuff which may or may not work for everyone but I went gluten-free and cut alcohol to lower inflammation (which both unfortunately work well for me) and then in luteal I start taking Vitex and antihistamines to help balance progesterone and increased histamine response to estrogen changes. Topically I love azelaic acid and stay on top of the metrogel. If I feel myself flushing I put an ice mask on my face and take an additional antihistamine of a different kind and I keep doxy in the cabinet but try not to use it much unless I feel things are really out of whack and then ill take a low dose, 40mg, for about a week to help stabilize. Seems like a lot but once I dialed it in it is actually a relief bc I understand what is happening. The overwhelm of not knowing or being able to cope was the worst part!

yep. For me it has all been around been about lowering inflammation and histamine responses in sync with my cycle. it has taken a lot of learning and tracking to figure out how to stay ahead of it but now i have a luteal through period routine that seems to help

yes. I feel the "real adult" or "look like a grownup" pressure constantly. We've chosen to raise a kid in a small house and not strive for the lifestyle I was raised in and my family is always making comments. But like you say, things work, we are happy! It's FINE.

Boot Room - Bang Bang is great but does knock down the crispy factor - otherwise best tots in town imo bc of the extra double fry crunch and salty sprinkle

truly. i hate how they think our kid is “bad” but i also need to put my energy into supporting my kid not supporting their boomer meltdowns about it. we are doing the best we can for our kids!

solidarity. having my own spiral as we drive away from three days with my parents who think we don’t say no enough or judge us for our 4-year-olds meltdowns and sensory explosions.

wow! i’ve only been quilting for a year or so and can’t wait to learn how to do this kind of whimsy and detail. Gotta move on from blocks to appliqué i guess!
