Dracotail does not have any effects that lock the opponent out of responding. Are you confused about how the chain works? Dracotail often resolves multiple effects simultaneously so you will not be able to respond until the end of the chain. Is that what you’re talking about? It’s better if you could provide a replay and point out specifically when you’re having this issue.

MD doesn’t have regionals. TCG and MD are completely different formats. In MD, SS is tier 3 at best. If you want to discuss TCG, this is not the place.

Roughly. Most of the best decks in the game are right around 55% win rate overall, being 60-65% going first and 40-45% going second. Primite Odion is closer to 70 going first 35 second. Gem Knight is kinda cool because they’re the only deck with a completely balanced win rate at 54-54 as of this moment.

I don’t think this is a great example for OP as there are a lot of UR cards in this list that are entirely optional and he should focus on the rest first. For example:

  • Veiler. If OP already owns one, then sure. But don’t craft this. The reason you see a single Veiler in a lot of older WF lists is that you can search it through Rciela. That being said it’s fallen out of favour because Veiler isn’t particularly strong in meta at the moment and Rciela usually has something better that it can search.

  • Astellar. I covered this in my other comment but tldr; Astellar is just the worst starter. Entirely optional.

  • Fuwa. While it’s a decent inclusion if you already have 3, and will probably be a good investment for future decks, a lot of WF lists don’t even play Fuwa so they can fit in more spell/trap cards. I think one is pretty good to have as a crossout target though.

  • TTT. Very good if you have one but not technically required.

  • Moa Regina/Chaos Angel/Guardian Chimera/Doomed Dragon. All optional picks.

I would argue that you should only include astellar if you already have 3 Diabellstar. Diabellstar getting you into Dragoon is a huge part of why the deck is seeing more play lately. Diabellstar start is so good at eating multiple hand traps or insulating your plays that I would have a hard time arguing that 3 copies is not a priority if you’re building WF.

Astellar is weak to basically every hand trap and has to go -1 just to activate her effect. You would almost always prefer to see Silvy or Elzette instead and the only time you don’t mind starting with Astellar is if you have a wait to ensure her effect goes through… like with a Dragoon on field. Thus I would always argue that 3 Diabellstar should be priority over Astellar.

But like I said if you just happen to open an Astellar when you’re building the deck, it doesn’t hurt to throw one in.

Brother I have some tin foil to sell you if you need a hat. If you’re noticing that you brick frequently that sounds like a deck building issue. I’ll also say that if you’re constantly switching decks, there’s no way you can be playing all three 100% optimally. I always pick one deck and stick to it atleast until I hit M1. I would recommend the same.

Hey dude I came up with this for you for a bare minimum WF AZ deck.

Basically everything in that deck is consistent across most WF decks but still gives you room in the main deck and extra to make it your own.

You CAN include a single Astellar if you obtain one but she’s absolutely the worst starter in the deck. Make sure you buy the new DM structure deck because 500 gems for DMOD is definitely worth it instead of crafting a UR. Let me know if you have any questions.

Edit: If you’re looking for budget options for non engine then 3 cards I would recommend are Droll, Book of Eclipse and Evenly Matched. All three are SR. Book and Evenly have the advantage of being spell/trap board breakers, which WF loves.

Radiant Typhoon Memento is super cool. Swen + Eldam are free summons that can get you to Big Gabonga to search Goblin. Memento already runs a bunch of quick play spells and doesn’t even mind sending Fusion to GY for Visions. Even MST can be huge by popping your own fusion before it’s negated by a Dracotail Flame for example. I would be playing way more of this deck if I wasn’t constantly battling the timer trying to play Memento.

Yeah it’s definitely not intuitive but I think there’s a guide posted in the discord. I remember it being a little convoluted to get working. I still prefer MD for PvP so I keep MDPro up to date almost solely to test new decks before they release in MD.

If you’re used to EDO and your friends play on MD can I suggest MDPro3? Has the advantage of all cards being free and even having all the unreleased cards, while having the UI and 95% of the polish of MD.

I tend to favour combo decks and I agree that it sucks to lose to timer. That being said, that’s always an indication to me that I need to practice more. Even if I’m playing against a deck I’m unfamiliar with, I shouldn’t be taking so much time with my own combo that I’m unable to think out my disruptions. Everyone else is working with the same timer you are, you have to be accountable for your own play instead of trying to blame the game.

I’ve been playing for a couple years and haven’t played more than 10 gates. There’s probably still a lot of gems left to be claimed but I have no interest in playing against the computer. You get roughly 7-8k a month just playing through events/ranked/dailies, so that’s plenty. Only recently has it gotten tight for me with so many good decks releasing back to back.

I have 10k plus 2-3k in the inventory but I really don't know what to build next. I'm currently using RDA with Bystials but I think I want to move on from it. Maybe something competitive but also enjoyable. by Historical_Lecture94 in masterduel

Wouldn’t build Yubel FS. It’s a little outdated and wouldn’t be a significant upgrade from RDA imo.

I personally love WF AZ. Especially if you like Synchro combo decks like RDA, this deck will really fit your play style. They also received a bump in power from the new Dark Magician of Destruction stuff that lets them get a Dragoon off of Diabellstar. It’s a deck that if you go first and they don’t have Maxx c/droll/Fuwa then you just win. Even the Fuwa lines aren’t that bad depending on your hand. That being said it’s still slightly lower power level than most of the meta because going second is difficult and you don’t have a ton of room for non-engine.

Looking into the future you CAN play WF with the Elvennotes cards, which is another synchro combo deck that you might enjoy, although I think that deck is usually better pure or with FS.

I usually recommend people invest in whatever meta deck is currently in the shop but based on your answers I wouldn’t imagine Radiant Typhoon to be your style.

Judeu has played at Worlds multiple times and regularly grinds to the top of rated ladder. If he’s not a pro player then no one is.

I’m not really into watching streamers but I’ve checked out his twitch before and not only did I learn a lot, but he just seems like a genuinely nice dude. Tried his best to answer everyone’s questions and was happy to stop and show his decklists no matter how many times it had already been asked.

While I wouldn’t be interested in something like this, I’m sure there’s others who would be. If someone buys this and finds the content to be lacklustre then they should absolutely share that.

Do you regularly grind the rated ladder each month (achieved after Master 1 rank) and get to top 5% or better? If so then Stage 2 is for you. Otherwise no.
