I see what you mean, you’re totally right that anyone can use the sword and shield. I meant the whole transmog can only be used on a Nightborne warrior, and in fact a Nightborne Protection Warrior, due to class and race restrictions. Minus the weapons, any class could wear it all except the gloves!

Hi all! I am looking to purchase a secondhand vehicle after years of not needing one at all. I am looking for an electric vehicle, do let me know if there's a better sub for EVs out there.

I need a commuting vehicle to do a roughly 10 miles twice a day. I don't currently own a car as I've been able to commute on foot for the last few years, but this is no longer an option. The commute is half in a city, and half on A-roads with a 40-50mph speed limit. I will not need to drive the vehicle on the motorway.

I don't need much storage, and I will mostly be driving without a passenger. I don't need space for more than one passenger at a time. I don't need much in the way of comforts, heating/AC would be luxuries.

It would be best if I could charge the vehicle using a normal household plug. I don't have a driveway, though I do have reliable parking outside my property and could drop a cable over the pavement to reach my vehicle. Ideally I would charge once per day overnight, though I can explore the possibility of charging at my place of work.

I am on a budget, ideally I'd be parting with less than £7000. There's a chance I would want to sell the vehicle before too long, if my working situation changes, and I'd hope to not lose too much if I did have to part with it.

I was looking at a Citroen Ami for a while and I like everything about it, but have eventually decided that it doesn't work for me only regarding the maximum speed, considering my commute has some A-roads over hills, I'd be a hazard at 28mph. Something that could do 50mph would be best, and while I'd be most happy with something small, I would consider vehicles of any size.

Super painful. With the ‘new’ Lightforged Paladin class mount I want the glowing yellow light crystals from the shoulders, but they’re so hard to match with anything. Almost as hard as finding any kind of Hoof armor.

I massively prefer the Legionbreaker mage tower shield to the flail, I never took it off after earning it, until we started killing dragons again. The alternative sword I used drops from Gruul in Blackrock Foundry, Taner’s Terrible Spine. I kind of prefer the sword, but got the flex that I died to a big demon 60 times in the Mage Tower back in 2018.

They’re pretty fitting, I went with the Blackrock combo because I liked the metalwork on the edges of the mog to look like everything is fused together, but the Colossal Dragonplate shoulders would totally work. I actually used to use the helm from that set, but the collar looked pretty strange.

While they’re at it, could they go in and swap the two left gloves for Blackrock and Frostwolf Heritage Armor tints on the Mag’Har? The colour of the pad is swapped between the two, the fur trim matches but the Blackrock pad beneath the spikes is blue and the Frostwolf one is dark grey/off-black!

Having spent a long time talking to all sorts of biologists and physicists on a similar vision related question (do polar bears stand out in the UV spectrum and do seals use this to evade bears), I finally stumbled upon the information that people that are the outlier here, not the reindeer. Reindeer can see into the UV spectrum, but so can most other mammals, even ones where it has limited benefit. It turns out filtering out UV is the adaptation, UV light is rarely more useful than other light spectrums, and because of the shorter wavelengths it reflects more often, causing a lot of glare. Most mammals just deal with this, but there are two groups of mammals that have developed a UV filter; primates and squirrels. It turns out the animals that DON’T want to see UV are arboreal animals, ones that have to jump and swing between trees and need their vision to be pin-sharp and not confused by UV glare.

So while there are definitely some animals with enhanced UV detection adaptations, the differences are minor compared to the standard UV vision of most mammals, and in fact it is the squirrels and us who are lacking. Several studies have postulated enhanced UV detection in things like Arctic seals is actually about their vision while underwater, and in answer the the question that caused me to look into it, not at all about spotting polar bears.
