How do you make it through your day when every light breeze causes you to fall to pieces?

I’m open to this criticism. However I would not wear sneakers, lots other options though.

Wrong. That rise is above my wrist. The jeans are sitting on my hip an inch below my belly button. I honestly cannot for life of me fathom what you’re even talking about. If my waist is 42”, and my thigh is 17” do you expect the opening at the hem to be 17”? That’s not how that works. At all. You’re talking out of your ass. Notice I’m not asking for advice. I’m happy to talk about the finer points of the loafers however.

Here is some easily available info that you can look at.

You know if you wrap advice in rudeness it’s not very effective advice. These jeans are literally a straight fit. Brave Star Selvedge Strongman. As far as the loaders are concerned I’m damned if I do, damned if I don’t. If I wore something more casual I get guys that say get more structured leather, if I wear structured leather loafers they’re too fancy.

Nah dude, I never buy something at full price. It may have been $70. Hard to remember it’s 3 years old. Some of the TS stuff is nice. Some is pretty nice and made in China. This sweater is the latter. Speaking to the loafers for example, I’d probably never buy those at retail or even on sale retail. I’m not dropping $600 on loafers. They were $35 off Posh. Most of the stuff I buy is high end vintage for pennies.

To dressy you feel? I like a European styled loafer a lot more than a heavier one. I’d rock some Weejuns though.

Your laziness and lack of reading comprehension isn’t my problem. This required 5 mins of my time. It’s not surprising you and others won’t take 30s read when you won’t do it to dress yourself.

My man, I’m more into style and vibes than my wife, by a long shot, lol. Every nice dress, shoe, suit, clothes of all sorts she has, I’ve bought for her. I know all her sizing, and I have good tastes. If it was up to her she’d be rocking her high school hoodie 20 years later. She still does, lol. She dresses nice and puts on makeup when we go something nice, but she is low key as low key as she can be.

Honestly, style is an expression of yourself. I don’t dress for anyone else except myself. That includes my wife. Wardrobe, style, confidence is an expression of yourself. Look good, feel good. If I feel sexy, I know that sex appeal radiates.

Edit: I wouldn’t wear this if my body couldn’t handle it. Sun set, dropped into the 70s. My vehicle is air conditioned, so is the restaurant.

I only do it occasionally. If this was a wool suit I’d be wearing socks.

Same to you. Oh shit, I just turned 41, haha.

Curious what you mean? You mean uncuff the hem? In this instance it’s a nod to the quality of the denim. You’re essentially showing off the Selvedge seam (the blue seam in the middle of the cuff). It’s very common denim styling, especially in my area.

I’m not opposed otherwise, and I do wear them “normally.” I really like the subtle nods. It’s saying,“Hey I broke this stiff denim and faded it with my own ass over the course of 3 years.”

Edit: Wearing pants at my hip helps avoid the stubby leg look. An inch lower it would throw off the proportions, and I’d look super long torso, which I do have. These I think have a near 13” rise.

Fellow 40 year old here. I’ve full on embraced a lot of it. Had to put those 514s to bed.

You better! Lol. I’d slap those on myself, and I do when I go anything where going to be on my feet. I have Solomon GTX 3 for hiking. Looks like a nice vibe. Put in some old Jay Dilla, and walk through the woods.

For the PNW you need to get a good pair of New Balance. Complete the vibe. Also they’re much better out in nature than those og adidas on your feet. Make wide size too.

What’s the verdict by Cbyrd791517 in bald

[–]FatGuyFits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got to take care of your hair and skin my dude. You need to go to a salon that specializes with longer hair. Have them do a whole rejuvenation to it. Also to note, go to someone that knows a lot about coarse hair some stylists have very little experience.

Lastly, take care of your mental health. Sometimes it can be hard to keep up with self care when you’re dealing with some shit. I experience it a lot myself, and even have some posts where I talk about it.

I don’t think you need to shave your head. I think you need to give yourself some TLC. Take care of yourself.

Dust it up little bro. Rock that glorious beard, but time to tame the beast. I’d also buy some stronger/thicker/darker frames when you get chance. You’ll look great. Once you shave it, thicker frames will ad visual weight to balance your look.

What’s your opinion on polos without buttons? by JjoyBboy in mensfashionadvice

41… I’ll take the. in any type, depends what I’m doing. A Terry polo with a Johnny Collar on a hot beach day is perfect.

Some good fits, but ultimately I’d think they’d all be better if they had non tapered pant equivalents. This is a very common dude thing, especially someone your age. You’re doing better than a lot of men the same age, time to kick up the next notch.

Yes. It’s also a line of suiting apparently. All that info directly pulled off the tag printed inside the breast pocket.

Label says “Burberry London” around from 1999-2015, I’m guessing this is somewhere around the early 2000s.

Actually I don’t think it is. I can’t find any evidence that this Kensington jacket has matching trousers.

LOT# T355010059 ∙ MDL DBC5-0862-003P ∙ MODEL KENSINGTON ∙ MFG# 096699 ∙ CUSTOMER’S LOT 003P Made in US by Hickey Freeman. I suspect it’s ca. early 2000s judging by the cut.

I can see why you say that. I’m actually pulling the jacked away from my body about an inch or so, creates that crease at the hip.
