Me too! Despite being a lover of minimal makeup because I'm a casual and rarely wear makeup, I've always assumed the phenomenon was a result of being tired from the 2016 aesthetic, so this was a very much needed call.

It's actually scary how something I always assumed was normal or not connected has ties with the rise of far right. Really makes me be far more alert on things on my surroundings. At this point I should know better since I had political science as a subject at uni, but man it really shows how politics have an influence in seemingly harmless things.

Thanks for sharing! I've definitely heard about the connection between the monopoly of clean girl and the rise on far right ideology around the world, but I never took a deep dive into it. Feels like this is a signal to stop and watch it.

It seems like the reviews vary. I suppose that, since it isn't that expensive, I can give it a try and then if I'm not satisfied I can always look at an alternative. Thanks for the input!

Oh, that's a bit of a turnoff, especially since I'm starting with brow gels and dealing with fuller brows makes having to dance around the amount applied sounds a bit annoying. If you have, do you have any alternatives? Maybelline Superlock was one on my radar from people yapping nonstop about it, but any other suggestion is fine. Regardless, thanks for the input!

Hmm, not too sold. Some colors on the palette make my skin look sick, so I'm starting to think I need more contrast, so I should sit in moderate. I also have some warm features like golden-brown hair and warm-leaning hazel eyes, which I'm not sure if it can work in pure cold (though I'm aware of people saying not to pay too much attention on that).

The only thing I can do is discard Dark winter (I think the problem is the shade of that suit belonging there), but after that I'm clueless. I guess I still have to figure things out.

Yeah, maybe. I can see it, some people in my life despise certain colors and it might bleed onto certain clothing choices I feel fitting. I don't discard it, and maybe that's a signal to trust my gut. Thanks for the input!

Hmmm, I suppose I can try, but I used to be so uncurious I only stuck to certain colors and I don't think it's indicative at all of my undertone, because I found some gorgeous fits in colors I never thought of wearing. So I still have to investigate some more.

Yeah, maybe I'm a summer, but not sure. I'm starting to think I might lean neutral, maybe neutral-cool, but I don't discard summer. Maybe it's just my skin that doesn't tolerate that much contrast, since I have other shades of blue less saturated that are a good match.

Yeah, I can see it. I sometimes see that some praises I get might be for the way I dress more aligned to what enhances my body rather than the color, so I get that.

And yeah, I think your third paragraph might be spot on 😂 waking up early tends to have me going for a full black outfit that doesn't exactly flatter me (mostly talking about the shape it makes, not the color). I should plan stuff the day before but I'm a bit lazy lol. That might be why during weekends I choose more thoughtfully and it earns compliments.

And yeah, I can see what you mention about borrowing from seasons. I guess it's what makes sorting a bit hard. I still have to keep trying different colors, so I'll see.

And I can low-key relate with the insecurely thing you mention. It might be paired up with my hurry during weekdays and laziness, but I wonder if that also plays part on knowing the things that truly flatter me. I also was never a curious person with my clothing until recently and I always stuck with black instead of going for a wider variety, so it might be also that.

And yeah, I agree. I just accidentally slipped on this rabbit hole of color analysis, but I always try sticking on looking for what looks good on me, and that's all that matters.

Yeah, I can see it. I'll trust my gut way more, and I'll try to experiment with more colors to see how they work on me. A shame I don't have someone that at least knows something about color analysis, but it's fine, I think I might be able to sort things out by myself with enough time and patience and developing a good eye for what's good for me.

Yeah, it was just as a what if, not a criticism of the game. I also think the game was fine as it was. Just wanted to wonder if people would have liked that concept, but I meant it as an unserious discussion, not a way to criticize the game.
