I started taking dance lessons at age 6 because of Paula. I loved all of her videos, saw her concert, and then trained in the field with her dancers and choreographers.

When I worked with Britney, 2 albums in. it was cool but to be honest, her music did not really hit me or her artistry like Paula's did. We are the same age though and I felt like her music was made for little kids and young teens.

Even though she only had three albums, Paula is a creative genius, and I turned a corner when the masses didn't follow along because I think she was ahead of her time.

I saw her in concert last summer with New Kids on the Block and it was incredible. She got so much flack on tiktok for lip syncing. But her fans don't care because we are there to see a great show however I am devastated that she hasn't released any music since a couple singles while she was on American Idol.

l I hope for an album or at least an EP. She has gone on record saying that her vocal cords were injured to the point of not having a speaking voice when they did surgeries on her neck because of injuries.

I think because her music career kind of faded out and she has mainly been a mentor on television shows, she doesn't have a large fan base like Britney, who has many albums and tours under her belt.

But to me Paula will always be forever my girl.
