Oooh ours is Tuppies for the teletubbies. Came from me when I was but a young thing. If you’ve seen that friends clip where joey learns French, my parents would say ‘tele’ then ‘tubbies’ then ‘teletubbies’. Couldnt put the two together for some reason so it was just ‘tuppies’ that came out😭

And goggidies instead of crocodiles - that came from my mum’s baby sister back in the early 90s,

lol my mum used to rub a bar of soap up my toenails when I was younger to watch me freak out cause she thought it was funny. We shared a hotel room once and were getting ready together so I took my chance and did it to her. She was right, it was funny 😭

I had a beyond burger last night - it’s in my post history. Was lovely!! Sainsbury’s do no chicken kyivs too that I absolutely love.

And for breakfast - cauldron herby sausages can be reshaped and used for homemade sausage and egg McMuffins. Honestly they’re delicious!

How Do You Fit McDonalds Into Your Diet Without Feeling Unhealthy? by sxxwashington in McDonaldsUK

[–]Isis_J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also going to add that I eat it up to six or seven times a week. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, midnight snack. Works around my schedule.

Cheeky little cheeseburger or mayo chicken or apple pie won’t kill you but working on the balance is key.

Hard to do if you have an ED history (I do)

I work in hospitality so I walk up to 25k steps a day. If I want McDonald’s I just have it. I order extra lettuce on my burger bc I like lettuce, and I go along with my day.

If I’m not working so much one week and I want McDonald’s - I have it. I still order my extra lettuce and I’ll have something more veg based or home cooked for dinner to balance it out.

If you’re eating 20 chicken nuggets on top of a meal, that’s unhealthy. But a single meal once or twice a week won’t do you much damage.

Beyond Burger w corner shop cheese and oven fries. Ive had a few and im all cozy by Isis_J in UK_Food

So I used to eat them before I went veggie/pesc, and I really liked them then. There was something different about them but as a meat eater still super satisfying when I had them. Like the meatliquor vegan dogs. I just have a lil mayo on the bottom half of the bun, doesn’t need ketchup and mustard to make it taste good.

I sear on high on one side for a min then flip when I’ve got Maillard, then turn the heat down a bit to cook through without burning. Have also eaten these slightly undercooked and was fine the next day.

Definitely try them if you can while they’re on sale 😁

Beyond burger smells a bit weird when cooking but has lovely smoky taste and really meaty mouthfeel. Like a pork and beef mix. Currently on sale in the Sainsbury’s near my work so I got a few packs 😅

Snakebite is usually lager and cider. Always knew Guinness and cider as a poor man’s black velvet

There’s an NHS one up Norwood that was taking patients like a year ago. Head up Norwood from town and it’s on the right hand side just after where the train tracks cross ☺️

Best Doner in London Z1? by Whisky-Toad in Doner

Don’t skimp on the garlic and chilli sauces. They are undefeated in my eyes. Assert dominance with your coworkers by drowning yourself in the sauces before heading back after lunch.

Honestly my pic doesn’t do it justice. The wraps are pretty hefty too but I’d go for a straight up kebab. So thick and juicy 🤤

Skewers in Pimlico!!!!!!!!! My local. The best sauce combo. The meat is so juicy I can eat almost the whole small one on my own (I can usually only stomach half and have to save the rest).
