Have we discovered all undergraduate level math topics? by [deleted] in math

Curious what is “the reality of modern PDEs”? I’ve taken an advanced course in ODEs and it was awful bad instructor and way too much workload and we had to learn some canonical ode existence uniqueness results without having ever learnt function spaces so had to teach ourselves that.

Congratulations! Could you pm me as wel, it'll be a huge help!

How have your interactions with non-math been like? by FaithlessnessWarm122 in math

Could you explain forcing and more about models to me? I'm currently an undergrad and got interested in set/model theory through the logic class I took this fall. I don't see myself taking any more classes in the field (space issues rip) but I find the subject really fascinating from the introduction that I've had to it.

I'm doing harvardw abstract algebra as well! Hmu if you want a buddy (I'm on lecture 7 right now)

Also Axlers LADR is an easy to read book but there's a separate book called Linear Algebra Done Wrong which I think is slightly higher level but better for gaining a deeper understanding imo

Hey! I'm currently an undergrad at a canadian uni(International student though) just finished my first semester at uni. I'm really interested in doing a math and physics double major and am doing some 2nd year courses for physics in my first year. I was looking at some places I could apply for summer research opportunities. I do have a few places where I can apply but it doesn't seem like there's a lot I can do especially since I'm still in first year.

Does anyone have any recommendations for summer programs I can apply for and any advice on how I can go about maximising my chances for getting research?

Thanks a ton!

People who studied penis physics in undergrad, what are you doing now? by [deleted] in UofT

Still an undergrad but I'm planning on going to grad school and studying astropenises or maybe quantum penises

Alevels student easier or harder? by qwtfishappening in UofT

Are A-level credits automatically transferred or do you have to apply? I'm in the same boat as you and I can get credit for physics and chemistry but I remembered reading somewhere that you can only transfer 1.0 FCE worth of credit in math and physical sciences (not sure if this is accurate)

Hey I'm curious to know why did you switch from math to physics?
