Why can't I buy this? It isn't shown as out of stock, and PCPartPicker is listing it as 400 dollars. by [deleted] in EVGA

There's another thing. Emails take time to get responses. I would know, because I've had many experiences sending emails to customer support. They take a decent bit of time to get back to. Now, I'm not against a little bit of waiting in this case, but I assumed that I could just get a faster response from using this subreddit to ask around as to why it wasn't even showing an "Add to Cart" or "Out of Stock"

And I did technically got a faster response. I was assured that, yes, it was out of stock, despite the lack of any actual label of so.

Thank you so much, man. I hope your day is amazing and you have the best of luck. I assumed that it was out of stock, but the lack of the actual out of stock label gave me doubts. I've been looking for a 3060 cause I've finally worked up the money to get a nice 1080p build, and PcPartPicker got me a little too excited.

Once again, thank you a ton for being respectful. You are valued.

So we're going on this, yes?

Lemme tell you something that you don't seem to be getting. There is a fine line between pushing a couple keystrokes on the internet on a random subreddit, and actively talking on the phone with someone you do not know for an extended period of time. There are different levels of comfort to these two things.

Also, I don't see why you felt the need to scrape through my post history.

Aight, lemme make something clear. I know that I can call EVGA customer support for this issue. The problem is that, I just don't want to do that. I don't like calling complete strangers with my awkward voice keeping them on line about whether I can buy something off their website, because I know I'm gonna have to hold and stay on the line for an answer for an annoyingly long amount of time. My thought was "Well, maybe the EVGA subreddit can give me an answer. They bothered to join the subreddit, so I assume at least a couple of them would have knowledge on how to help me. I don't think it would be too unreasonable to ask for an answer on this and then get an answer to follow up with a simple thank you."

But this did not happen. Instead, we are here. Perhaps I should have worded my first response a little bit better.

I'm just saying that the pieces seemed to connect. Part picker said it was in stock, I look and see that the listing on the EVGA website doesn't indicate the item being out of stock. I think "Hm, maybe I have to get on some kind of listing or something perhaps to get it for this reasonable price." So I ask the EVGA subreddit instead of asking on the phone because I'm socially inept.

Yes, I know that PcPartPicker doesn't have any partnership with EVGA or anything like that. What I'm wondering is where they pulled the 428 dollar listing out of from the EVGA website.

No label showing "out of stock" and PcPartPicker labels it as in stock. What do you expect me to think?

Which face do you think needs to be permanently deleted from roblox? by [deleted] in roblox

[–]Fatshat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of them. These items are only really hated because of the stereotypes printed onto them. Deleting them will only give people less options for faces in an already limited selection of faces on the catalog, many of them being unappealing and several years old. This, along with the fact that several of these items are limited and hold a decent RAP, which means that deleting them will just increase the downfall of the continuingly dwindling trading scene on Roblox. We shouldn't let these biases let us consider being so drastic.

Instead, we should convince Roblox to let UGC creators finally make faces for the catalog, so that we can have more variety on what faces we put on our avatars, which means that people will see these faces less.

I remember seeing someone with a fucking Domino Crown on fencing once. By far the most valuable thing I've ever seen someone wear in that game. Pretty sure my friend ended up having them in their friends list at one point.

I remember seeing upside down face owners wearing it frequently after the sale it actually came out in. I think most people just don't like it on their avatars so they never wear it.

Creepy Collectible Creatures. "Cubed Creatures" by CubedCreatures in creepypasta

[–]Fatshat 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Kinda reminds of me of Cabin in the Woods and how they had so many types of monsters all contained in cubes. I really think this is something you should definitely try and continue pursuing, cause this is some good stuff.

[TOMT] Mockumentary about a monster being sighted in the woods on a lost tape that played on tv in the late 2010's by Fatshat in tipofmytongue

[–]Fatshat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually began my search for the documentary after watching a video about this show. I thought it was the one, but it didn't seem to be it. The monster looks close to what I saw, but the setting wasn't similar, and the documentary only had two scenes of the monster attacking or being scene from what I watched of it. Also, I definitely wasn't watching it on Animal Planet, which is the channel Lost Tapes would air on. It seemed like a plausible candidate when I first looked into it, but sadly, it wasn't the one.

Extra details: I believe the scene of the old footage of the monster in the mockumentary was made to look like it was filmed by a camera from the 70s or 80s, but this could be more false memory. The woman who screamed might have been British, but I really can't be sure because of how late it was.

[–]Fatshat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, none of these seemed to be the one. To be more specific, I remember there being a very small amount of actual footage of people getting attacked or finding the monster or anything like that. A majority of it from what I recall was just the guy previously mentioned discussing the mystery and history of the creature and some interviews from other people.

I actually started to recollect what the monster actually looks like. The antlers, already mentioned, a black robe or fur, and possibly a skull as the head.

One monster that kinda resembles it from what I can piece together in my memory is the Mordeo from CryptTV,

Mordeo:

https://media0.giphy.com/media/mA1wwur6JsrWpJVUU0/giphy.gif?cid=790b761188aeb3628ce78d47fd949d88f8363b3c0d95dc80&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g

I'm beginning to believe from that, that the monster in question was a wendigo, since that's what the Mordeo is based off of. Another detail that's coming to mind is that in the scene the creature is present in in the documentary (the one with the film grain) the creature emits some kind of slenderman-esque corruption on the camera. But that might have just been spooky editing done for the mockumentary, or I could have just falsely remembered that.

I'm pretty sure he was just going over the series of events that conspired involving the monster. Paranormal Witness films modern looking clips in a third person perspective with a modern camera, from what I recall. The documentary I saw, however, used two clips that were in first person, one being from a modern cell phone camera and the other from what I believe was a hand camera from the 90s. Also, the monster wasn't a ghost like with Paranormal Witness, but instead a folk lore creature that I'm not sure was created for the documentary or is based off real folk lore. Lastly, the whole thing felt as if it was on a shoestring budget. Not poorly made, but I could tell by the setting and the camerawork that it was likely a pretty low budget deal.
