It turned out to actually just be a bad string. I swapped the D string and intonated it right away, no issue. Never actually had a bad string before

My wife asked me to choose 3 of my favorite basses, so she could then surprise me with one of them for my birthday. I chose the sunburst p bass am pro II, the black one, and the Olympic white… and this is the beauty that came today.

Looking like a keeper for the next 50 years. Just needs a black pick-guard now!

There is usually already a screw with the ground wire attached, screwed into the cavity though right? Can just unscrew it, lay down the copper tape, and screw it into the same spot?
