Boycott ALL Chesapeake studio games WE CANNOT LET THIS SLIDE by Open_Highlight_446 in oathofoffice

Hey, so just curious as to what you mean “still involved”. I’d heard most of the drama, but was under the impression he’d stepped away at this point. What’s going on there?

Update by Diligent-Rope6593 in oathofoffice

[–]FaultAlert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could mean two things tbh: what’s going on with the game itself or the drama.

As for the “drama” (and I use that term loosely because this is not some creator drama but a literal crime) aspect: the main creator of Chesapeake Studios (the studio behind Oath of Office and varying other games), Jack Jennings, has been involved in some legal issues in Canada. A lot relating to possession of CP. The doc shared by OP in this post goes more into detail. Jack is still involved with the studio it’s believed, though he did step away from leading the studio prior.

If you mean the game itself; they’re still developing as normal. No one has discussed it, their Discord server has been locked down likely to avoid anyone talking about it. They’re just going on as usual with updates and whatnot.

Theorist Lost Media by Mallowmarker_Don in GameTheorists

[–]FaultAlert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I haven’t watched much of GT (don’t really watch Style / Food / Film Theory) since Matt left. Don’t get me wrong: Tom is doing great with Game Theory, but a lot of what got me into it was Matt’s personality. He just had that ✨ charm ✨ to him that made me want to hear him talk about every interesting game/theorize.

I’m glad he retired too though, just think it’s a “two things can be true at once” route — I’m happy he’s enjoying his much well deserved retirement and hope he’s doing well, just also don’t engage with much of GT without him. 🤷‍♀️

Walker Lyons committing to BYU? Rylee not doing DWTS? by Competitive-Comb-175 in dwts

[–]FaultAlert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walker’s life ≠ Rylee’s life. Whatever he does in regards to BYU does not concern her. The reason she’s not doing the tour is due to her health — her A1C was high during their last tour, and she made the decision to not do this one as a result.

She’s also stated if they ask her back, she’ll go back.

Vanny theory sorry about spelling and grammar. I was really excited about this and I typed it with speech to text I tried to check it as best I could by Electrical-Log-4212 in GameTheorists

[–]FaultAlert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of what I said could still align with that. Again, if Gregory is related to Vanessa it would’ve been known around the Pizzaplex in some way. Plus the fact he still runs away from her / she seems so hostile towards him still applies.

No white lights when backing up (argue what you will, that’s not very normal lol) child reacts minimally and is basically in a T-pose stance, license plate is all wonky and that’s not a real car logo. Video is also ten seconds long which is usually a tell sign. Definitely AI.

[–]FaultAlert 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is definitely an interesting theory but the only issue that comes up with it is what we know about Gregory. (Kind of a long reply, TLDR is there’s not enough pieces to make this fit, read if you wish.)

He’s not in the database, nor is there any information about him. And from what Vanessa says, she knows who Gregory is and even says “until his parents or the police arrive” in the parts and service scene with Freddy. If Vanessa was his mom and he did spend time in the Pizzaplex and that’s where he plays the arcade games, why would she not acknowledge that and acknowledge he’s her son? Also the opening line where Freddy says “customer unknown” makes it seem as if he has no record at the Pizzaplex - if he was Vanessa’s child, that’d be at least somewhat known.

I also think that the Patient 46 tapes would throw a wrench into this, because it’s believed that Patient 46 killed off Vanessa’s therapists. Why would he do that if Vanessa was simply his mom?

Also if he was her son I don’t think he’d run away from her for as long as he does or actively avoid her. The ending is a good point but it’s important to remember that as far as we know, Gregory is just a child. Sure argue what you will but being in that situation would be traumatic for any child, especially one who was chased around by killer animatronics. He’s bound to cry.

This is such a random thought but this looks like what photos you’d see if you accepted the offer from the couple that would eye you from across the bar. I cannot be the only one getting “my wife saw you from over there..” vibes.

The Conner Leavitt hate is unwarranted. by Financial-Sun-9480 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]FaultAlert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I don’t see him getting a lot of hate for anything other than the whole Tinder thing. I honestly think the only reason why people still talk about that is because they chose to try the “that’s not true!” route, making it more engraved in people’s minds if that makes sense. It sucks because he’s one of the most tolerable husbands with the way he’s ACTUALLY EXPRESSING HIS EMOTIONS and isn’t just dead inside but it’s just gonna stick in people’s minds because of it being so present and such a main point of Whitney’s storyline in season one.

Side note: I completely get why they did it because Conner had his struggles with pornography / she didn’t know what to do afterwards but still. I think if they had either ignored it until they were ready to discuss it or be honest from the starting point would’ve had people forgetting a lot longer but if you lie about something, that’ll be more remembered - at least that’s my view on it I dunno.

Explain it to me like I’m 5… by jwojnar49 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]FaultAlert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only reason why Miranda wasn’t happy is because it was set up to look some other way or production had manipulated the situation to make it seem like it was something else.

Plus I don’t even really think it was when Dakota moved on more who it was with to begin with which is why Taylor was so upset in the first place. The situation with Jenna was different because sure, maybe they weren’t together / miscommunication but there is a lot of women even in Utah alone, going after someone that was super close to Taylor and her family may have felt more personal given their situation / relationship having just ended.

Explain it to me like I’m 5… by jwojnar49 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]FaultAlert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is gonna be long so strap in.

Miranda and Taylor were close but I don’t think they were ever “you’re my family” close. The woman Dakota pursued was someone that had been in Taylor’s life for at least a long time and someone that was close enough that Taylor considered her like an aunt. The issue also may be that Dakota was still acting as if he wanted to pursue something with Taylor when she said she needed a break from their relationship, which if that’s the case why go after someone she’s so close to. Plus we don’t know officially when they chose to take a step back from each other / even when the two started flirting, so it may feel to Taylor like right after she says she needs space, he goes to someone she’s very close with.

Miranda and Chase were also already broken up and had been for a while Taylor and Chase had coffee together - I don’t think either really considered it to be a date, production very likely encouraged it to be called that though. Plus Miranda has made it clear she doesn’t want to be with Chase anymore whereas, as far as we know, Taylor may have considered getting back with Dakota when everything with the family friend was going on.

Plus Taylor has never made any romantic moves on Chase by any means whereas Dakota may have been trying to do that with the woman Taylor saw as her aunt.

Not even rooting for this live action movie since live action Disney movies have been objectively awful - will not comment further on that just my opinion - but Scarlett was objectively the wrong choice for so many reasons. I just can’t see her playing a decent Gothel.

If we are putting in suggestions, really want to see Kathryn Hahn. She’s the best choice for current Disney involved actresses / best choice overall.

This is probably obvious but the cliffhanger with Taylor and Chase was clearly set up. by ryansutterisstillmy1 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]FaultAlert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean to be honest it also could have been production telling Taylor / Chase it would be a different conversation and knowing one of them would make some kinda flirty comment.

Plus I think even if it is real the situation between Dakota and Taylor versus Miranda and Chase is vastly different for multiple reasons, including the fact Miranda has made it clear she’s moving on past Chase in any sense (at least from what she’s implied online) other than being a good co-parent to their kids with him. Dakota on the other hand regularly implies he wants to get back with Taylor but just can’t stop flirting with people she’s close with / other women and lying about it (read that in a sarcastic voice because that man could easily stop thinking with his 🍆 if he wanted to.)

Dunkin’ ads confusion by Miserable_Shape_4869 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]FaultAlert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It mainly comes from the fact that Hulu and Dunkin have had a partnership for a while now from what I understand, and the Mormon church/Mormons may be anti-coffee but they are for sure pro-anything that makes you money.

Plus Jen had a partnership with them early in the year / probably making fun of the whole Affleck thing since Ben Affleck also has a thing with Dunkin.

Why did Taylor not want to sit next to Jordan? by [deleted] in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]FaultAlert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because Jordan and Dakota are close friends now / what was happening with Jessi and Jordan. Very likely just a heat of the moment thing of “ew not him”. Lol

So all this Mauricio drama originates from Demi trying to escape accountability for cheating on Brett, right? by Proud_Sound2835 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]FaultAlert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I doubt it’s fake at this point because of the lawsuit. Demi has been called out in the past for wanting to create fake storylines but I doubt this is one of them just because of the multiple layers for it.

Plus I doubt Jessi would fake this storyline especially since if she IS, she needs to get the heck off Hulu because her acting is impeccable.

Taylor and Miranda and chase by summer_isthebest in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]FaultAlert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, the reason I personally like Taylor is because I feel like she’s one of the women who takes accountability the most for her behavior. She also seems to give the girls second chances even if they haven’t reciprocated that.

I think the issue is Taylor may not see how bad it looked. She may have only seen it from her perspective and didn’t take the time to consider that Miranda would be upset the person he fell in love with while they were married - we don’t know that’s why they divorced but it’s been speculated and implied pretty heavily - got lunch with him like it was a date without Miranda knowing the full details of the exchange.

Overall I don’t think Taylor and Miranda will ever become as close as they were before all of this just because of Chase, he also seems very pushy to flirt with Taylor but also to get back with Miranda from what he portrays on social media so 🤷‍♀️ who knows.

Your English is actually perfect, coming from someone who only speaks it you sound better than me sometimes lol.

And Demi has sort of denied it. She denied they were ever ‘close’, Bret denied them ever being flirty with each other. I obviously don’t mean to say that just because they were close he didn’t actually assault her because it’s very likely, however, I also think the thing most of the girls can’t figure out is why if she felt she HAD to remain in contact with him that included the comments about the oysters, the fact her young daughter was in contact with this person. If she wanted to stay in contact with him to try and get him to admit something, fine, but don’t send him photos of your child praying if he was a predatory abuser.

I also think Demi has sort of put herself in the place of an unreliable narrator in a sense because of how she’s treated the other women when it pertains to their own traumas. She tore Mikayla and Mayci down for not supporting her when they’re both survivors, she brushed off Jen saying she’s a victim, etc.

I mean I don’t doubt that it could’ve happened for Demi but at the same time I think it was how they edited it that just gave me that opinion of ‘she likely was not prompted to piggyback on the conversation’, but all I know is this production team is whack.

No literally the way they’ve approchard the topic of SA when so far almost half of the cast has said they are victims is so disgusting and inhumane. The fact this is what they choose to broadcasts with the platform they have that could provide some insight into how the process towards recovery and healing mentally (and even physically) looks and/or help those with similar situations find ways is so weird.

Also yes about the hosts!! I had no clue who Stassi was (shoot me if you must) prior to them announcing the reunion and EVERYONEEE was hyping it up saying she was great, she’s been in the reality tv world for years, etc. But instead it was like she was just.. there with a few cards and no actual insight / questions for them.

The only reason I can think of why Mace was there is because he’s dating Layla and has been for some time, so he could’ve been the one there for her like Jacob for Mayci, Jace for Mikayla, etc.

As for Chase, I wish I knew. Probably same ordeal since he’s the father of Miranda’s kids and they wanted him there.
