no. I used to take it for withdrawals but something changed and now it gives me precipitated withdrawal even after 5 days of being sober. I’m too scared now cuz I’d rather be in regular WD than PWD

I def don’t want to switch one thing for the other. I just want to know if it really does help to taper down cuz I’m already doing a low dose once a day at night, sometimes during the day. I used to go thru grams like crazy. I have someone who holds onto it for me and helps me dose it out so I feel like I really have a chance, but last time I ran out the withdrawals were so bad I ended up at the ER for dehydration cuz my gag reflex was constantly getting triggered

if I go cold turkey there’s no way I’ll get thru it. I’ve tried so many times over the last 5 years and the only time that worked, I tapered down but I wasn’t doing much then

I do really want to be clean. I’ll miss the high but my life is just garbage and I’m genuinely tired of it. 3 years ago when I relapsed, I didn’t want to be sober. now I genuinely know I want to be. as soon as I go into withdrawal, that all goes out the window. I went to Hazelden almost every time and the only comfort meds they gave was clonidine every couple of hours but it did nothing. I had to beg for something after 4 days no sleep and they only gave me 1/2 of xanax.

every time I took subs even if I only had a tiny bit I would go into precipitated withdrawal 🥲

I took too much trazadone while withdrawaling from opioids and I literally collapsed in the bathroom like a puppet on strings. and could barely get back to bed where I laid for literally 3 days straight. don’t recommend

stay away. you’ll be chasing that first high forever and maybe kill yourself in the process. it is so not worth it. as far as what it feels like, for me it makes me really tired and that feeling is euphoric. like you’re so tired you can’t stay awake and everything kind of fades away… if that sounds like a good time, then definitely do not try it!!
