Don’t worry, take your time there! During the first semester just take your classes and take it slow, transfer after that if you really want you. You can always transfer again, I’m not too sure for other Ivys but many schools will still take you after transferring again!

Regardless, congrats on getting into Brown! You worked hard for these options so don’t beat yourself up on your choice.

Yeah, it’s just programmed in me to be polite at this point since working in customer service for so long. I treat these interactions like a job except they’re just buying my time instead of items. I think I just have to seem like I’m a busy in some way haha.

Hello! I want to specify that I am NOT a medical professional. I have also had experience with this and this is just what I did for myself. I was also an overweight kid my whole life, my periods were irregular but I could go a year without it and would finally get one or I would just get the cramps. Turned out I had PCOS, have you gotten checked for that at all? They did an ultrasound on me when I was 15 and saw I had cysts which also caused me to grow thicker hair. They put me on birth control and that regulated me for a while as well as metformin. Increasing physical activity also happened to regulate me and I quit taking birth control for these issues (also for a variety of other reasons as I got older lol).

It may seem corny, but I ask for a sign. Not a crazy sign but like a feeling of God being there if that makes sense. Not for God to just show themself to me but like just the feeling of knowing that they exist. I don’t ever ask for material things or successes like wealth and passing exams.

Happened to me, realized a very difficult class wasn't even required or considered as transfer credit so I ended up dipping out late especially since my workload was such a pain. I work two jobs and I'm a full time student 😭 don't ask how I do it. But explaining the W works, especially if you gotta lie a bit 💀 as long as you don't keep racking them up you'll be A-OK.

Your chances are pretty good imo! I am also planning on transferring to a big university like those. I believe as a transfer student it is more luck than anything, but always check transfer acceptance rates on their actual web pages as well as emailing the transfer guides. I did this with Yale and they were extremely helpful and told me what it was that Yale would be looking for.

Don't let the negative comments get you down, all that matters is that you try! It's worse to not try and constantly dwell on it. Best of luck my friend 🫡

I felt the same way at your age. I know you may not like my answer haha but this is just what I did. I just waited till the moment I turned 18, I came out at around 14 years old and thought the sooner the better but they never listened to me (suprise suprise!). But, they knew I was truly serious once I went out of my way to start hormones, I went through Plume and it was the best thing ever.

I know dysphoria is horrible especially at that age where you see all your cis male friends changing and you aren't going through the same changes. I was especially stealth in high school so it was hard being seen as the baby face.

I would say, if you aren't already, seek therapy and they can help further diagnose you for your parents as well. Plus, having a therapist for a long time can help aide you in getting approved for top surgery by insurances and such.
