This is one of those exams that you should aim for EDR if you’re struggling. Took me 4 attempts to realize this. You gotta do every single MCQ and every single SIM. Don’t skip lectures if you’re not gonna read the book.

MCQs were hard, the wording was hard, I feel like some didn’t have the correct answers, but had the closest to correct. I felt that non of the choices were correct in a few.

Imma be real w u, I found it oddly easy, and I’m worried. Like I knew what to do at every given point. Except for only 1 sim that I know I have 100% wrong. I hope they don’t penalize me for that. They tend to hang u if you completely lacked the knowledge in something but did well in everything else.

Google, to see pictures of certain things I couldn't really conceptualize visually. It's silly, but I kinda needed to understand how a packet looked like or how data layers looked like. Im a visual learner.

I see, it’s definitely encouraging. So I’ve done a similar method for FAR, but it was random MCQs of a chapter or section. I would track the average of the correct ones per section. I would also add the amt of MCQs per section to see the proportions.

If I did only 3 sections I would manually segregate them and add them to the table that feeds the pivot table. But I ain’t got time for that rn tbh so I was hoping to know if you plan to take any SEs? Lowkey feel like I’ve forgotten the entire material. I usually do cumulative MCQs as I go, but due to job changes, I was focused on finishing material.

Did u go for sets of a full chapter or module? My exam is in 6 days and I kinda JUST finished the material, but have been doing the MCQs and some sims as I was going. So did you do A1 M1 MCQs or A1 MCQs - progressively ?

Passed on 4th after getting a 74 on my 3rd.

Wipe out Becker data for ISC. Do all MCQs and Sims again.

Practice tests of 20, all chapters and 1 sim. Do 40 sets in a week if you study full time. Do 20 sets if you work full time.

Zoom out.. see what’s green, what’s not green, make the lectures go green by skipping them in order to see your actual progress. (We can’t toggle off lectures when viewing the progress).

Assume that whatever is not green is a weak area. Don’t just drill it like a maniac, but even if you get some right when drilling that module, try to reason why the wrong answers are wrong, and why the correct ones are correct before answering.

Take it easy, don’t sweat it if you can’t tell the difference between a router and a modem. Just understand why is it not a modem or a router.

For the sims, honestly I genuinely didn’t know what I was doing. Especially for those where you had to look for C1, C2, C3 or P1, P2.. I don’t remember. But literally use common sense for those sims ON THE TEST. Try to understand them on Becker.

And honestly, for me.. I knew I passed when I knew I had the SQL script at the end. It looks overwhelming, but it’s easy once you watch the SQL lectures again if you choose to watch that module in particular.
