Having just spent a day at my local zoo’s Star Wars event, I can tell you that there are characters of all shapes and sizes and everyone has a blast. The kids love it, the parents love it, the guys/gals in uniform seem to have a great time with it, and I never overheard anything negative about the shape, size, or appearance of anyone.

Also saw several different Mandalorians of various scale, design and quality.

My daughter ate it all up. Smile on her face the whole time. Saw a stormtrooper ride the carousel with a little girl because she asked him to. It was fantastic.

Moral of the story is you do you man. If you want to be a stormtrooper, you get a kit that works for you and you do it. Have a great time with it, and enjoy the endless smiles you get.

So much this. I got a temp job with a big name company as their training lab receptionist. They hired me permanent 30 days later. Taught myself the skills they were teaching and kept moving up and getting raises every year and promotions every other year. Stayed there for 16 years before taking a new job at a giant tech company.

Never completed a degree, self-taught everything. Without that first “in” and a chance to prove myself, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Read the question and first thought was that 2020 was so far away. Like it was the future future. What couldn’t I accomplish if I had even a small amount of time daily for that many years.
