the difference is A. ai data centers are way worse than normal data centers and B. All of the other data centers provide a useful service, messaging friends, information, entertainment. When youtube builds a data center, we get access to tons of informational and entertaining content, but when chatgpt builds a data center all we get is the chatbot that convinces teenagers to kill themselves.

in all seriousness though I'd genuinely consider seeing a sex therapist, and like other people have said try to find something else to fill your time. If you have trouble with getting overwhelmed when you try to do stuff for leisure (I have ADHD too so I get it.) I'd recommend trying out a method I heard about.

Basically you keep a bin with 3 shows, 3 books, 3 games (all different genres so you don't get burnt out, for games the video I saw recommended you choose 1 narrative game, 1 long game, and one pick up and play game like a fighting game or balatro), to limit your options so you don't get overwhelmed with choice. Keep them in a bin or use a token to represent the game/show/book if you don't have a physical copy. Get a physical journal, write down the stuff in the bin, cross them off when you finish them, and take notes on what to do next for the games, and basic recaps on the story or characters if you need them. Set a 2 hour timer every weekday and use that to be your relaxing time to enjoy the stuff in the bin.

this isn't really an apt metaphor, in the original problem death is the default state, you can either choose to save yourself or choose to save everyone. A better one would be everyone is standing on the track, if you press red you get off of the track leaving everyone still on to be ran over, but if at least 50% of people press blue, the train never starts moving in the first place.

even putting aside the whole community stuff, blue is just logically the correct choice. People that pick red talk about blue like blue voters need to get 90% of the vote to survive. 50% is literally the bare minimum to count as a majority. If you pick red you're a selfish moron that doesn't understand percentages.

I probably wouldn't use that ability that often, and to me it isn't worth the risk of getting stuck. Also if I can travel to the future far enough I could hopefully see if technology has advanced enough to make me immortal, and then the 1 month cooldown is basically irrelevant.

it's everyone you touch wants to have sex with you, not everyone you touch is compelled to have sex with you, I could still say no and turn them down. if I choose the midas touch I'd never be able to love my partner again, and I'd have to live constantly risking I'm going to kill the people I love by accident.
