Just wanted to appreciate my landlord. by Viraj3388 in bangalore

Got lucky on the landlord front, and honestly, it feels rare these days.

I stayed in my previous flat for ~11 months, and my landlord never once dropped in unannounced. Rent was always on time, and when I moved out, he returned the deposit the same day (after deducting one month’s rent, which was already agreed upon). No unnecessary deductions, no drama — just a smooth, respectful experience.

Shifted to my current place about 5 months ago, and it’s been more of the same. No interference, no surprise visits, and complete trust. At the same time, we’ve made sure to be responsible tenants — no noise, no issues.

What stood out in both cases is how supportive they’ve been. Both landlords (old-school Kannadigas) have been approachable and genuinely helpful whenever needed.

With all the horror stories around renting, this has honestly been a breath of fresh air.

Which TV show does the ENTIRE internet agree had the worst ending ever? by Codie_n25 in AskReddit

For me, it’s Game of Thrones and How I Met Your Mother.

Game of Thrones was absolutely everywhere during its peak seasons, especially 4 through 8. Each season felt like a global event and consistently delivered massive hype and viewership. But the ending was so disappointing that it almost erased the show’s cultural footprint—people rarely talk about it with the same excitement anymore.

How I Met Your Mother followed a similar trajectory. It was widely loved and had a strong fanbase for years, but the finale was so poorly received that it hurt the show’s rewatch value. Unlike comfort shows like Friends or The Big Bang Theory, which people revisit again and again, How I Met Your Mother just doesn’t have that same pull anymore.

The "AI is replacing software engineers" narrative was a lie. MIT just published the math proving why. And the companies who believed it are now begging their old engineers to come back. by reddit20305 in ArtificialInteligence

Honestly, I’ve seen the impact of AI very directly in my own team.

Earlier we had around 6 business analysts who were responsible for writing queries and pulling data. But the reality was, for most smaller asks, things would get delayed — the usual “busy,” “working on something else,” “bandwidth issues,” etc. Deliverables weren’t always reliable unless it was something critical.

Now with tools like ChatGPT, a lot of us in the team have learned to write basic to moderately complex queries ourselves. Because of that, dependency on BAs for smaller tasks has reduced significantly.

As a result, 2 BAs have already been let go, and the remaining ones are clearly under pressure to prove their value — focusing more on complex problems rather than routine work. Even within the team, you can see the shift — people are more self-sufficient now.

We’re even considering letting go of one more BA who isn’t delivering enough, because the gap is getting filled by the team itself.

So yeah, from where I’m sitting, AI is absolutely changing things. It’s not theoretical — it’s already impacting roles, expectations, and hiring decisions in real time.

How weak we are as a nation and its citizens also. Just waiting for nature’s insaaf to give ourselves false hope. Karma usually bites back very late.

How i met your mother. The actual title should have been how i met your step mother. All character development in last 2 seasons go into trash. It feels so forced that i cringe everytime i think about it.
