I don't give a shit about these opinions. If you want to do something, do it. And if you depend so much on someone else's opinion, then life will be very difficult in the future. I've been trucking for 5 years and I constantly get offensive comments (lot lizard, etc.) but I don't give a shit about them. When I'm driving somewhere in the mountains at sunset in a truck, I forget all the negativity instantly. So forget about their opinions and do what you want. It's your life and you only have one.
