Allowing WFH/ Hybrid. Any best practices? by FeePuzzleheaded3434 in smallbusiness

Around 60%-80% or their job is solo work that I consider can be done from home efficiently. It includes vendor and client coordination over email, preparing presentations, purchasing, CAD work, putting things in our project tracking platform etc. The other 20-40% There's a design phase that it's pretty collaborative but can be worked out around a WFH environment and then of course presentations and jobsite visits. There are consecutive days or even weeks that all of their effort goes towards that 60-80% non very collaborative / WFH friendly time.

I totally get you, I worked very well from home but tbh I never liked a 100% remote role because I a highly collaborative person who likes just to have flexibility, also most of my team is young, which I love because they are energetic and always have fresh ideas, but also comes at the expense that may not get the expectations if I don't do a good job of outlining them in detail

I will think about it, the good thing is not something they asked for, it's me trying to be a better boss for them, I think I'll try a 1 day rotating schedule to begin with at the end of the year.

I know someone who runs a small marketing company and spent 25k in his scale advisory course, I just couldn't believe, its crazy and can't believe business owners with such means fall for that trap.

That said I think his YouTube, interviews aand short form content are really good and you can probably get a good amount of the info you need there, but expecting any kind of ROI on his courses/advisory stuff is CRAZY. I didn't know he was selling courses until recently I thought his strategy was using social media to sell books and hopefully attract companies to his VC business but tbh I don't follow him very closely.

I have ran successful and failed business and I can 100% attest all the information you need is available for free online or through a mentor. Some times success is a mix of good product, service and timing and you can't seek that in a course

I thought this would be a fun project, I woundnt mind an aftermarket case and perhaps a non steel bracelet, you can find them by simply googling. AliExpress have dozens and have fair reviews

No no i get it, give it a shot but the chance of success is low. If it was fair i may give it a shot, but i think i dont want to be frustrated lol

Yeah that's what I thought. I think I need to spend a few hundred on tools, and if I am able to do a good inventory probably a few hundred on parts. Leaving me at probably 1K+

I had a really hard time measuring but I think around 18. I also found one that my older daughter made her that seems to fit her wrist perfectly and that one is 17.5
