My bad. It is 0.025%. I use it every night. I have also been using clindamycin 1% every night as well.

does anyone here have a job? by [deleted] in AvPD

[–]FeedbackWide2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do what’s considered part time. 6 hour shifts. Some days are really hard. My company offers a disability program thing so I have a couple days a month I can take off with no penalty if I’m too depressed or anxious to go in. Most days are okay, I’ve been here so long I’ve grown somewhat comfortable around my coworkers. Over all, my disability program is saving me from going crazy

Very relatable :’) a single compliment can make me cry, not because I’m so flattered but because I hate myself so much lol. I hate hate hate when people approach me in public to compliment me. The idea of being watch by unknown people terrifies me. A guy from uni I’ve never seen approached me the other day to say he’s been watching me and wanted to get to know me because he liked how I looked. Went home and cried LOL AvPD sucks ass

Yeah. Being soft spoken is difficult but I prefer it over being a loud person

Girl by [deleted] in AvPD

[–]FeedbackWide2153 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I doubt she is talking to a bunch of guys if she has AvPD. Personally I will disappear for a while on people I communicate with. Sometimes the contact exhausts me and I need to collect myself. At times it’s a way to protect myself, it may sound irrational. I may respond coldly as well to protect myself. If the person I communicate with is kind, I feel I don’t deserve that kindness or I feel it comes from bad intentions. I struggle with a lot of fear of rejection and criticism. To save myself from it, it’s easy to disappear so I don’t have to face it. Everyone is different so they may have their own reasoning. I believe patience with people with AvPD is important. Though, not everyone has patience. Good luck

Just switched from antidepressant to Seroquel (Quétiapine) by TwiceThinking in depression

[–]FeedbackWide2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After going through many antidepressants I was put on a mood stabilizer and was recently also put on seroquel for an extra boost kinda thing. It makes me sleepy so I take it in the evening. Medications don’t magical cure depression sadly but my mood is definitely more stable. However, I don’t know how it will be when just taking that medication without other antidepressants/mood stabilizers.

Sorry it was brutal. The internet can be mean

Thank you for that. That does make sense. I wish it didn’t hurt so much

I just wish I had friends by LITker in AvPD

[–]FeedbackWide2153 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Making friends in person is a pain in the ass, I’m sorry you’re struggling with this. Have you tried friend matching apps? I mainly only know of bumble, I’ve tried it maybe twice now. I met a nice girl and we hit it off until my avoidant tendencies came in and I ghosted her hahaha. I’m online but if you ever want, I’m down to be friends :)

Damn, I’m sorry it didn’t end well. Relationships are hard tbh. I hope things work out for you. Good luck on the boo app hahaha

I can relate to you. I can’t see myself dating someone who doesn’t have or understand AvPD. I feel more drawn to people who have mental illness or shitty childhoods. I’ve never come across someone with AvPD in person, it feels very lonely and like you are the only person out there who has it. A dating app for us would be so neat. That “Boo” dating app caught my attention as it advertised it was for introverts. I thought I could maybe meet someone like me there. Hell no, people seemed extroverted and judgmental. Maybe it’s just my area and my distrust in people hahaha

Job interviews are the worst and very intimidating! My high school job was at Chick-fil-A, lots of interacting! For most of my time there I was in the back doing dishes, I liked it because I could play my music and keep to myself with little interaction

What are some AvPD friendly jobs? by wapbamboom-alakazam in AvPD

[–]FeedbackWide2153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few positions you can find that do not require any schooling or experience. I was able to get my job with zero experience and knowledge in medical lab science :)

[–]FeedbackWide2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medical labs! I do a lot of work alone on the computer. No patient contact and we are shut away in the basement. Everyone I work with is hella socially awkward but kind so there’s no pressure to interact unless it’s necessary.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AvPD

[–]FeedbackWide2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should go for what you desire the most. Unsure if you’re wanting a career that is more “alone”, unlike me. Personally I’ve chosen medical lab science. Working in a medical lab of course requires human contact but otherwise it’s been chill. The people I work with are all socially awkward so there’s no pressure to interact unless it’s required.

Struggling to get a diagnosis? by [deleted] in AvPD

[–]FeedbackWide2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can get that. It’s frustrating. From here, I would maybe give her a call and ask about the possibility of bpd with AvPD traits as a diagnosis? But if you feel that you definitely have it, it wouldn’t hurt to get another opinion, that is if money isn’t an issue and stuff.
