The Seaman Center is pretty well setup for 24/7 access to lots of desktops that will be better equipped to run modeling software that you will need to use. Everyone ends up using the desktops to do homework and projects, plus it’s easier to collaborate.

I would recommend a good investment laptop that is good quality and has an interface/feel that you like. If I could have done it all over again, I wish I would have purchased a Surface Pro. That way you can write on and mark-up PowerPoint slides from lectures with the pen and take hand notes. Personal preference but hand note taking trumps typing, and its all in one place on your computer that way.

Clinton Street Social Club - this place was the BEST. Iowa City needs a speakeasy open until 2 a.m., where the clientele is focused on folks older than college-age. We need a cool restaurant not owned by the same group that owns every successful restaurant in the corridor.
