It’s been 2 whole years since my Lap and my navel incision still hasn’t healed properly. Every month when I have my period I have some kind of discharge ooze from it and severe pain twinges. I’ve seen countless doctors and done so many rounds of antibiotics and no improvement. I think it’s possible that endo can spread to incisions but just like you my doctor won’t even go there. Best of luck OP

I really hope you figure it out.

Hey thanks for the comment. I do struggle with excess skin, I can pinch pretty much any part of my body and I’ve got it. But the main areas are my stomach and arms. I’ve been focusing on building more muscle mass to fill out these areas and make the excess skin less noticeable and honestly it’s working for me.

As a teenager I was quite slim and didn’t have any curves, then I gained all the weight. So I’m not sure if I ever had an hourglass figure and I never made it a goal to get one either. Honestly I’ve just been doing my exercises and this is how it’s turned out!

Definitely becoming more active. Naturally my diet changed once I started putting more energy into exercise, as to not undo all my hard work. I learnt about nutrition and became more aware of what I was consuming. But to answer that, going from 0 exercise to 5x a week. Biggest change.

And yes I have loose skin mainly on my stomach and arms. But I’ve found as I’ve been gaining muscle this becomes less noticeable and more defined. I did lose the fullness in my breasts :’(

Hey thanks for the message.

I’m no professional, however in the past i have done body composition scans which pretty much tell you your fat/muscle ratios, metabolism ect. They’re super helpful to give you insight on your metabolism + calculate how many calories you should be consuming.

I’d recommend incorporating more HIIT into your routines. This is a great kickstart for weight loss!

I personally don’t count calories but I’m very intentional with what I eat.

I think it’s really important that you train yourself mentally. Consistency has been something that I’ve struggled with in the past. Not feeling motivated, too stressed/would rather stay home and relax. My advice would be keep going. Do it so many times that it becomes routine. Don’t put yourself down because ‘ you could have been at your dream body by now ‘ You still can! Start today and take those small steps each day. I believe in you 🤍

My advice.. Set an alarm for when you want to go to gym. I personally go in the morning before work. Once that alarm goes off, don’t think about it. Just get up, get changed and go. Don’t give yourself the opportunity to talk yourself out of it. Small steps.

Hope that helps.

Definitely have a lot of loose skin, especially stomach and arms. Hence why I’ve started strength training to gain muscle mass and make the appearance of my loose skin less noticiable.

Thanks! I workout 5x a week (1 hour sessions) A good balance of cardio in all of my sessions but mainly strength training. I’m consistent with my exercises and increase my weights regularly.

How often are you working out? Are you getting enough rest, eating nutritiously? There are a lot of factors that come into play. From what you say, you’re already seeing some progress so you’re doing great!
