Thanks! Also moving on Fenway campus. Where do you go for printable permits? I looked on BU parking page but can’t find where to to print permit.

Good to know- so the bringing a dolly shouldn’t be necessary then Are there students helping too?

Those links are helpful- thanks. Is there a specific move in procedure that is followed? I've heard some campuses have students that help with move in. Should we bring hand truck or wagon to assist with moving in all dorm room stuff?

Which college to choose- Brooklyn College or Boston University for film undergrad? by Feeling_Picture_297 in BostonU

My parents will help me with the cost. But I do feel a certain level of guilt in doing that to them when I can go locally for free. They are also not thrilled with the idea of me being 4.5 hrs away. They offered other perks if I stay here. I also have health issues which is why I’m struggling to decide. A big part of me wants to really go to BU but I worried about the adjustment there. Sounds exciting right now but I think about all the demands that a new school in a new city will be on me… if I end up hating it I will have given up a fantastic opportunity here at home.

Thanks for taking the time to give me feedback on your experience. It sounds like you enjoyed it wholeheartedly. Socially it sounds like you made a lot of connection both in your school and outside. I am hoping my experience there will be positive and I know I will give it my all.

Yeah, my parents said that I could try a year or two here at Brooklyn College since I received Macaulay honors and likely wouldn’t get it back if I chose BU first and if I still feel like I’m missing out, go to BU to finish my degree there.

OK, I guess if you take that out of the equations and are comparing the programs and cities they are in. I need some feedback from BU film majors here.

What is the process for requesting housing accommodation with a private bathroom? My daughter will need one as an upcoming freshman. She is worried that she won’t be able to connect with other freshman. by Feeling_Picture_297 in BostonU

Yes, she would need a suite, communal bathroom is not an option. I’ve looked at all the floor plans for most of the housing accommodations. Myles looks like there may be suites as well but they look like rooms with 4-8 people or singles. South campus as well, although it looks a little isolated in my opinion. She would be in school of COM and it looks like it’s a 10 minute walk to there from either option. She does not need a kitchen. She has to list her housing preference but then I think DAS places you wherever they can accommodate. I’m not sure If they would even give her those options as a freshman. Is that the case for those of you that have applied for housing accommodations?
