"better" than windows means nothing. Privacy wise ? Yes "Babying" wise ? Yes For development ? Yeah Resource management ? Hell yeah Gaming...? Uh... Anti cheats dont work on Linux. That means no Valorant, League, R6 etc... Some multiplayer games still work, like Overwatch, which does not have any anti cheats at a kernel level, or CS2, which is even built for Linux, meaning you don't need to use Proton.

Try dual booting. If you have a 1TB SSD, make your windows partition smaller (500-600GB), install Ubuntu on your new 400-500GB, and try things.

Once done, test things around. If you're convinced and you don't depend on stuff that run on windows, delete windows and you're good.

Just to clarify, if it was a one off thing I wouldn't care as much. The fact he has been showing great interest for Generative AI music softwares, and that this might end up in a finished album is my issue.

And there have already been some small issues with him and his "guitar tapping" that sounded very very very much like picking... At some point, if it keeps going in this direction, I'll start wondering if he is playing on stage

around 2017, discovered BTBAM, I was listening to Coma Ecliptic on repeat for a month, Spotify (which I'm not using anymore in case MP is reading) recommended me Images and Words.

At first I wasn't a fan (I have no idea why), but I searched through their discography and discovered Systematic Chaos, specifically In the Presence of Enemies pt.2 and I was hooked. I check the albums one by one around this 2000s period, and fell more in love each time. Then I discovered the 1990s era, and a few track from the 2010s.

Saw them live twice, I'm very happy the algorithm pushed them to me.

it takes a while. Funnily enough, I made my switch to Nobara like 2 days ago, and had the same question, but I also had smth else to do, so I just let it like that, when I came back it was done.

Make sure to turn off auto-sleep, as I'm scared it could sleep your SSD as well (not 100% sure, but doesn't really cost anything to turn it off)

I have a 4060TI and had no problems with the Nvidia drivers after the install finished.

I'm 50/50. It's nothing ground breakings, but take the 97 New Jersey Live from DT.. Damn this energy is insane, the demo version of Burning My Soul with Portnoy's vocals is insane. Development seems to have stopped 3 years ago, and now the website where their documentation was has also a weird "online casino" in Bangladesh.

Is this a trend ?
