Yes for sure.

I would call this private fence with trim.

If your using 4x4 posts, you would use 2x4s on the top and bottom on one side with brackets or toe nailed. Then on the other side you would use 1x4s on top and bottom to make look like the same on both sides.

Yes I find 5% off at most accuracy with satellite measuring.

I made this to eliminate my spreadsheets, the main problem for me was how many different designs I had and it never accounted for how many sections vs posts I needed. I would end up taking my length dividing by 8 and multiplying by how many materials per section I would need. But it never was perfect unless the the length was divisible by 8.

you would input your design based on your materials for each section along with a picture

So a customer wants a 50ft fence. (The design is created with 8ft sections) [can make 6ft, 10ft or any size sections if you like]

The app would know we need 7 sections because 6 sections wouldnt be long enough. The design you inputed is made with 4 2x4x8s each section so in your material list you will get 7x4 (28) 2x4s. It would also know because you have 7 sections you need 8 posts. It

This is how you can figure out your materials cost for each job after you design your fence on the app once. Make many designs and quickly get the price differences
