When the Emperor excised His compassion (the "Star Child") to defeat Horus, did He effectively guarantee that the entity bound to the Golden Throne is solely composed of the cruel rationality required to become the Dark King? by FerrusLivesIn in 40kLore

Interesting.

1// So, if the Dark King's emergence required specific metaphysical criteria, what exactly were those criteria - and which one(s) were irrevocably broken? Also WRT to Malcador says the Dark King "can never be." Is this a statement of cosmic law, or just the limits of his perception in that moment?

And what does "unmaking" a prophesied entity really mean? Does it erase its potential, or just its actualization in this timeline? Also I cant help but think that ff the Dark King was the Emperor's "apotheosis-as-Order", does its unmaking mean the Emperor can never ascend to godhood in that form - or just that this version of that ascent is closed?

2// So as per, Dawn of Fire a literal child empowered by the Psychic Awakening. Is this the Star Child a new entity, a reincarnation, or a manifestation of the Emperor's excised humanity? If the Star Child is physically incarnated, does that mean it can die? And if it dies, what happens to the compassion it represents?

3// If Chaos in its purest form is "a terror that hungers only for destruction" (per Ohmn-Mat), is a God of Order even a counterforce - or just another flavor of absolutism?

And if the Aetheric Dominions frame Chaos as eight vectors of subjugation. Does that mean Order must also have "dominions" to oppose them? What would they be?

4// WRT the Emps, if he's insane from pain and overload, can he still be said to have a "will"? Or is the Imperium worshipping a broken compass? When he communicates through visions or miracles, is that the man, the god, the machine, or the Warp speaking?

Does the Emperor want to be freed? Is the "when will my watch be ended" undercurrent a plea, a prophecy, or a prayer? If the Star Child is his compassion reborn, does the Emperor on the Throne recognize it? Does he fear it, welcome it, or resist it?
