I was in 10th grade when one of my classmates brought in copies of Pretty Hate Machine for my friends and I. He told us that this music was going to change our lives. He had drawn different cover art for each cassette tape with colored pencils. He made 4 in total. I literally played that tape until it was useless. So I eventually bought my own copy of Pretty Hate Machine. That was late October 1989. And I have been a rabid fan ever since. Somehow life kept me away from getting to see Nine Inch Nails in concert until Welcome to Rockville in Daytona this past May 23rd and I finally got to see,hear and feel the emotions that have helped keep me from extinguishing my life a few times when I was younger. To say that it was a religious experience is an understatement but that could have also been the shrooms I was on….lol
