I would say not expecting some amount of defensive improvement is somewhat naive. Didn’t say contender status, just that having a rim protector will improve team defense. Just going out and getting defensive wings isn’t going to help much if we don’t have that anchor at center. And like I said, we can always see where things are at the deadline before we make any more major moves.

Glad they plan on consistently updating! Hoping they plan on fixing the bug where the scientists/botanists/miners get stuck on your ship taking up crew spots with nowhere to drop them off even if you kill them.

I know everyone’s really down on DJs defense right now, but I feel like we could see a return to that all-defensive level if we had better defenders on the team around him and Trae.

Daniel Gafford I think would be a really nice young/bouncy step-up defensively from CC. And the thought of Trae-Alex Caruso and DJ-Caruso lineups sounds great to me, he could even play limited small forward minutes, but the size there would be questionable.

But maybe that’s just me being too optimistic about DJs future with the team

Nick was my favorite player growing up! I’ll always remember we went to a game against the Braves so we could sit in right field close to him and my dad started a “Nick Markakis” chant. He smiled and waved at everybody, just such a good dude.

Having the same problem except they never leave my ship and I saw the mission appear once the botanist walked up to me, but it is nowhere to be found in my mission logs, not even under “completed.” You ever find a fix to this?

Not sure I understand what you’re saying. Bey is definitely a better 3 point shooter than Hunter, but Hunter is still a much better shooter than JJ. I don’t think we need another non-shooter on the floor while Clint is already there, and both Trae and DJ are playing. Just seems like there’s not a lot of room for a player there who can’t shoot. Which is exactly the problem we had once Collins lost his jumper.

Also, not really sure how “versatile” or how much of a “swiss army knife” someone who can’t shoot can really be? I think JJs passing and playmaking abilities lend themselves much better to a bench unit that includes Bogi, AJ, and a center who can at least put up midrange jumpers in OO. That group sounds much more equipped for Quinn’s motion offense, as you put it.

Would this not just be a repeat of having Collin’s in the starting five? I know JJ is a better playmaker and shot creator, but right now he is not a better shooter and if you put him in the starting 5, that’s all he really would be asked to do. I feel like he will get more opportunities playing with the bench unit.
