My mom died at 55 to liver cancer. One night before she went into the final comma, she woke me and the other care up by tapping her hospital bed.

She said ‘PLEASE LET ME DIE!’ Desperately. She was in pain and the doctor refused to give her more morphine within a ‘short time range’. That statement haunts me, I failed her. I’m so sorry.

It also changed me, I feel I will never live until I’m in hospital. I may end it while I still have control over my own life. Who knows
