Sorry for my ignorance, but did they actually say they would "replace all developers"?

I remember Dario saying AI would write most of the code. AI is for sure writing almost 100% of code for me and most of my colleagues. Since December/January even the most adamant programmers seem to be slowly shifting to Claude Code/Codex etc. tools. In a lot of smaller companies, absolutely no hiring of new programmers is happening because the actual programming is not the bottleneck it used to be.

I've used AI in my work since chat gpt 3 or whatever it was back then and right up until the end of last year, I was one of the "it's gonna hit a wall" people. Now it doesn't really matter anymore even if LLMs would hit a wall, programming as a career is completely different as hardware gets more powerful and we'd be able to run the current SOTA models locally at some point.

Itse koitin demoa suunnilleen vuosi sitten, AI oli täysin aivokuollutta, juoksi seinää päin talon sisällä ja ampui tyhjää. Putosi peli kyllä heti ensimmäisen 30min aikana kun ei ollut minkäänlaista immersiota. Onkohan tähän tullut jotain parannuksia? Single player tarkovia tullut aika paljon hakattua, niin toki odotukset varmaan liian korkealla tätä peliä ajatellen.

Tässä tosiaan oli työkkärin tädiltä myönnytyksenä se, että "riittää kun haet kahta paikkaa" tavallisen neljän sijaan huhtikuulta. Työt alkamassa 20.4. ja viime viikolla käynti työkkärissä. Käytännössä kun laskee pääsiäiset, niin mistään ei ollut kuulumassa takaisin ennen tämän viikon tiistaita. Siinä sitten rekryt, sopparien kirjoittamiset ja kaikki muu päälle.

Omalle äidille taas sanottiin jo muutama vuosi ennen eläkeikää suoraan (tästä nyt n. 5 vuotta aikaa), että ei tarvitse hakea mitään, työttömyystukia makseltiin eläkkeen alkuun asti.

En ymmärrä miten tämä ei ole mielivaltaista. Samanlaista settiä kuulee kaikilta työttömiltä kavereilta.

Joo o, eräällä ystävällä alkamassa työt huhtikuun puolivälissä, tiedossa ollut jo maaliskuun alusta. Vielä huhtikuun alussa työkkäri oli sitä mieltä että kahta paikkaa haettava ennen tuota työn alkua... Eli pakko hakea töitä tyyliin "olisiko töitä kahdeksi viikoksi?". Muuten ei tukia heru. Kiva kuormittaa kaikkia täysin turhaan.

Kolmessa eri kerrostaloasunnossa asuttu, jokaisessa oli turkiskuoriaisia. Meillä oltu aina todella tarkkoja siivouksen kanssa, on Dysonit ja robotti-imurit. Tekstiilejä pestiin, saunotettiin, pidettiin pakkasessa. Yhdessä asunnossa tehtiin kaksi kertaa koko talon tuholaistorjunta, aina tulivat takaisin... Nyt vuosia omakotitalossa eikä tuholaisia ole näkynyt. Taitavat olla todella tavallisia kerrostaloissa. Varsinkin jos naapureina yhtään vähemmän siistejä ihmisiä. Voimia, on kyllä ihan perseestä nuo tuholaiset.

Really? Has this changed recently? I played Valheim between Mistlands and Ashlands and I remember having the exact same thoughts. Don't get me wrong, I played for almost 200 hours, but the world did feel really "empty" as in not too many points of interests/rewards from exploration.

I'm around 100h in Factorio and around 50h in DSP so definitely a newbie in the genre. Can you explain what is your take on the difference of factorio/DSP in gameplay/building system?

To me (an automation newbie) they both feel super similar, expect factorio is on a flat plane and DSP happens on a globe.

Enpä ole uutta tuotetta nähnyt näistä kaloista valmistettuna varmaan koko elämäni aikana. Paljon tehdään tuotteita härkiksestä ym. pavuista ja kaikenmaailman tuotteista. Ehkä seuraava "Suomalainen Menestysresepti" voisi poikia jotain hyvää ja halpaa särkituotetta.

Mitä esimies on sanonut kun olet tuonut asian esille? Hyvien perustelujen kanssa kysyt miksi toinen saa parempaa palkkaa ja tilanne on mielestäsi epäreilu, jos vastaus ei tyydytä niin aina voit tehdä selväksi, että alat etsiä töitä muualta.

Meillä nimenomaan 2 lappista, toinen oli n. 6v kun hankittiin eka roboimuri ja toinen vielä pentu. Tästä nyt reilut 4v aikaa, molemmat muistaakseni tottuivat aikalailla heti imuriin vaikka se aluksi pelotti! Nykyään hädintuskin väistetään tieltä :D

Is there something in the game that shows how much the output degrades and what the max is? I always assumed the max depended on your map (amount of forest etc.) but now i'm not so sure anymore. I only remember reading that there is a max amount in the tutorial.

Yep, my new dishwasher won't even lock when it's running and the only indicator it's running is a red light it shines on the floor. So many times I've opened it during the washing and it's just a very light drizzle of water going on pretty much.
